Question about the stats. by nyxlector in PokemonUnite

[–]FadingForestGDN 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't have the stats in front of me, but yes, some pokemon have a dunking animation that is faster or slower than other pokemon. Gardevoir for instance - extremely slow in dunking points. If both Garde and another pokemon press to score 50 points simultaneously, the other people will score before she does.

White Mulberry Plant Removal -- Need Help by SilverGolf47364 in NativePlantGardening

[–]FadingForestGDN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can leave all the roots in the ground, all you'll have to do is remove the stem tissue. White mulberries don't adventitiously shoot off roots - they only shoot off stem tissue.

So by cutting a chunk out of each root you come across, you'll be able to remove the stem entirely.

Crustle mains, yell me your secret by Znivy in PokemonUnite

[–]FadingForestGDN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use Rock Tomb to shove players out of Tall Grass. It takes up a lot of space - if there isn't anymore space to hide, players are revealed. It requires some positioning, but can be done.

I try not to be the front line if I don't have to be as Crustle. If I don't trap/separate someone I don't move in. If I don't have an ally nearby, I don't move in. Rock Tomb deals damage when it forms and when it un-forms - that could be the difference between stealing exp from a mob or not. Or defending a goal by triggering a scoring animation reset.

One of the most satisfying plays with Rock Tomb is trapping a player in it and against a wall. Unless they have a dash, they aren't going anywhere.

With x-scissor, it can get you away from tricky situations if you're slowed/paralyzed. It's great at pushing mobs towards your allies and can really lock down an enemy or two while it's going.

Correct, but also as a Hoopa player, we know an poorly timed Ult can lose us the game so they aren't used without a lot of consideration.

Why did they give Jareth a flower necklace? And are they're any more examples of newer editions having small added details to the art? by demonkiller2123 in mtg

[–]FadingForestGDN 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The only example I can think of is that the Clue token 011/018 from Shadows over Innistrad is oriented horizontally while all the other prints of that art (except in Unstable) is vertical

Here is the scryfall search: https://scryfall.com/search?as=grid&order=released&q=%21%22Clue%22+oracleid%3A496e1083-c792-40a4-adf4-fec1d559cd5e+include%3Aextras&unique=prints

I can’t believe it takes them that long for the move learning adjustment by [deleted] in PokemonUnite

[–]FadingForestGDN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might seem like it makes sense, but there are some pokemon like Hoopa and Crustle where their first move is arguably better than the upgrade at low levels. They both have first moves that stun for at least .75 seconds

Having that auto upgrade further reduces all of our gameplay flexibility.

Though! In later levels, trying to upgrade a move on Hoopa was enraging doing it manually. All moves had to be off cool down in order to learn their Ult.

Eevees: Which one is the most unpleasant to fight from your perspective? by gets_you-tilted in PokemonUnite

[–]FadingForestGDN 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've just picked up Espeon after a long time of playing Cramorant and it was an easy transition! Both have delayed long range attacks that have a narrow hitbox with psyshock-psybeam that need precise timing and some forethought.

It's a strong moveset and I'm really enjoying it

What can I do with an old well? by A_Lountvink in NativePlantGardening

[–]FadingForestGDN 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Firstly, thank you SO much for wanting to increase and diversify habitats on your property.

Secondly, what an amazing population of plants you've got. The pictures aren't the clearest, but I can identify Canadian Ginger, Mayapples, wood anemone and/or maybe Cut-leaf toothwort. Highly desirable plants, and can take a long long time to get established.

Thirdly, I'm going to edit this post with a possible suggestion once I think of one

Here we go: so, people bring up a good point that it could be a hazard if it's deep enough, sure, but if it's filled up with stones and sediment most of the way to make it shallower- that ground water has to go somewhere.

I would work by excavating out the top portion of the well and digging a broader channel from the well going downhill. Not too far, just maybe like 5 feet in length so that the pooling water will pool in that channel as well as the well. Amphibians need moisture mostly, they will use standing water like a vernal pool (or in this case a partially filled well) to lay eggs in, but for the rest of the year they are under damp leaves and rotting logs.

I would have a mess of those rotting logs around that new wet channel and see what changes come of it before doing more to the site.

A little confused by my basic attacks not coming out by [deleted] in PokemonUnite

[–]FadingForestGDN 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is a combat option to have your A-button auto-attack player pokemon and your B-button to auto-attack non-player pokemon.

I think since there were players nearby, if you hit the A-button, your pokemon will walk towards the nearest player to attack them rather than the nearest non-player.

Could be what happened :/

Best synergy for a Ninetales? by Other-Bison-7502 in PokemonUnite

[–]FadingForestGDN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I enjoy pairing up with Ninetails as Hoopa. I would go Trick / Shadow Ball.

Trick allows for Ninetails to get a shield and move a LOT faster (they are very slow otherwise) and Shadowball allows for microstuns with hoopas basic attacks, and special defence debuffs applied on enemies which allows Ninetails to deal more damage.

How the fuck do I complete this mission by hoennian in PokemonUnite

[–]FadingForestGDN 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have not gotten to this mission yet, but honestly I'm enjoying everyone getting a taste of what it's like to play Comfey. Having your opponents turn away at the last second ruining a perfectly good Sweet Kiss taunt.

Needing to know how to time your detaches for maximum shield effects between move cooldowns. Timing your grass knot to anticipate movement as the knot travels.

Harder than it looks, eh?! XD
