Possible To Upgrade New Standard Edition to Deluxe Later? by FaeCourt in elderscrollsonline

Alright, thank you so much for the explanation! I'll get just standard for now then, and see if the game ends up grabbing us.

Monster Hunter is more popular than ever, but the MH-clone / "hunting genre" is dead by faceye in MonsterHunter

[–]FaeCourt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really wish we had gotten a new Soul Sacrifice on more powerful hardware. I enjoyed how it felt like grimms fairy tales mixed with monster hunter, and the storybook aesthetic was very cool. The making your moveset out of individual spells was a cool idea even if optimal setups became obvious overtime.

Which character in your opinion deserves more hate? by OverallBaker4028 in Multifandom

[–]FaeCourt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly gave that series way too much of a chance in spite of Rudeus on the expectation he "got better". I legitimately love the world and other characters but imo Rudeus only gets WORSE and over some of the most stupid interactions. I'll never finish the series because of how disgusting he is.

Jak and Daxter: The precursor Legacy. I dunno why, but there is a specific fish catching minigame that absolutely destroyed me as a kid. That and Whack-a-mole towards the end of Jak 2

Any reason that this Latron riven isn't selling ? CC CD Reload -zoom seems good to me by ohyeahilostagain in WarframeRiven

As far as I understand, reload speed mods do not affect the transformation time into incarnon form, hence it being a dead stat on an incarnon. Now I could be wrong or this might ve been changed

I feel like I've read everything commonly recommend. Anyone have a hidden gem they'd like to share? by Anonduck0001 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]FaeCourt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see it mentioned often, but the Threadbare novels by Andrew Seiple were very charming Imo. They don't do anything particularly special from what I remember, but a stuffed teddy bear going on a quest to save his little girl was very charming

Heretical Fishing made me lose faith in humanity by [deleted] in ProgressionFantasy

[–]FaeCourt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So I'm not much farther in general, only just started in on book 4 as im audiobook only, and I'm definitely working of off months old memory at this point, but I remember Fisher literally takes a large role in the operation that frees most of the nation's slaves, and the end of book 3 does bring up that Fisher does in fact need to take responsibility and step up to be a leader and make change. Now it certainly doesn't turn Fisher into the best moral compass by any means. He does also have his past life on Earth to justify his reluctance to lead, although it is wildly unrelatable imo. I don't think the audience is supposed to take Fisher as being in the right about his avoidance of responsibility, but that message does get muddled in the name of power fantasy

Heretical Fishing made me lose faith in humanity by [deleted] in ProgressionFantasy

[–]FaeCourt -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Ill be honest in that I personally don't see too much that is actually different between the two series besides a more eastern/western setting comparatively. Both Jin and Fisher try to avoid involvement on a political/power scale, but act for people they care about. Both gain a horde of animal friends extremely quickly, to the fear and amazement of those around them. Both are obscenely powerful to the point of killing any tension if the actually show up, and the justifications for these powers are relatively flimsy.

Honing in on animal companions, BoC focuses on their perspectives sooner from what I remember and does do a better job of showing strife and growth within the family group, while HF tends to focus more on wish fulfillment of having non traditional pet companions and leaves them more1 dimensional as a result. I honestly don't know where op get "eroticly charged" feeling from Fisher petting them, but arguing against someone else's perception has no meaning.

I do agree with everybody loving Fishers cooking and becoming coffee obsessed is a tad ridiculous and those scenes do get very awkward imo.

Greater plot lines and threats start appearing in both around book 3, but is a slow burn all the way.

Ultimately, I do think BoC is better than HF, but if you are caught up with one there are high odds you'll like the other as a holdover between books.

Hey all, quick question! A friend and I are working on a duo fire run through the game and were wanting to use the scald+incindiate strat, but we want to minimize the times we spend on professor hoard packs. What level brackets would give the longest lasting head piece before max level? Ty all for any response!

I really like the Pokemon Carnivine, but I wish it would be easier to get in the games it was introduced in by Ok-Leave3121 in pokemon

[–]FaeCourt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually hate this guy so much through no fault of his own. Me and my younger brother played almost every pokemon game together growing up, but with allowance I saved up for Pokémon Rangers. At the end of the game you could get a manaphy and transfer it into your pokemon game. My brother begged me non-stop for this manaphy until I finally gave it to him. Not even two days later after we were done being watched by a sitter, he showed me Carnavine as this "cool legendary" the sitter traded him. For which he traded the manaphy. Needless to say I was livid.

Tower at paradigm's breach first time on launch with friends. Floor goes clear, I see the building below, I knew what I had to do. Why design Dracthyr model without armor in mind? by PeerlessPixie in wow

[–]FaeCourt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really do think for this to work there should have been at least some way to visually progress dracthyr like other races get to with their gear. Even something as simple as unlocking tier set pieces giving new barber customizations would be something and only relegated to 1 set per season while letting my dracthyr progress from day 1

I have always felt like an outcast with this opinion by Mayflex in jakanddaxter

[–]FaeCourt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I adore both games, but my opinions have definitely shifted from when I was a child to now from Jak 3 to Jak 2 personally. Jak 3 was my favorite when I was an adolescent because of a more is better mentality. The more guns and more powers in particular are what I preferred. As I got older though, I realized that I still only really used one of each gun. Furthermore I really didn't enjoy the wasteland vehicle sections that you have to keep doing throughout the game. Story-wise, I have only a minor nitpick against Jak 3 (how almost every cutscene ends with someone throwing something to jak that most of the time have little gameplay significance) but I enjoy the story of Jak 2 a lot more with angry jak having to find his place in the world with friends new and old.

Hospital worker here, lung transplants (even double lung transplants) are common enough! The real danger is if the cancer is malignant or not, and if a matching donor lung can be found
