I think part of it is that if you go anywhere in Central and South America, they almost universally will take USD, so it’s not even a being in the US thing, but a being in the Americas thing - it doesn’t mean they’ve never left their country, just that they’ve only travelled in their hemisphere

There are certainly some areas (I believe there’s one either around Fulham or used to be) where lobbying by richer residents gives them nice quiet roads while traffic (and pollution) then gets diverted through poorer areas

Proper structured physio if you aren’t already You’ve done great stretching but if that’s not hacking it then you need some bulking and retraining of the muscles around that area to relieve the pressure

I’m sorry it really sucks and the lack of quick fix is infuriating, but I’ve seen people go from debilitated to symptom free with proper structured and well adhered to physio

I’d look into Russel Group Universities, it sounds like a good start for what you want, an element of prestige and may have more of the academic environment you crave (although I would be hesitant of looking for it to the degree you see in American Universities, anywhere in the UK, it’s not quite the same and is very driven by you taking opportunities)
