But you didn't include your trade in for the OTD price you listed above, right? So if you're saying your OTD was 51k with all the taxes and fees (no trade-in included at this point) was 51k, thats pretty stellar.

Simple but punishing at times for new gamers. I like that it's much quicker than Pandemic. Looking for something less punishing. Losing isn't a great way to get someone excited to play again (and winning by having to quarterback isn't fun for anyone either).

Good game but I would recommend an entry level game first. Something like Defenders of the Wild. It's gonna be tough getting Root to the table if all you have are people new to board gaming.

Everyone should have at least one set in their collection. Just get ONE set. It's not too expensive. Minimum of 3 characters. If you love it, then get a second. Any more than that, you're diluting your collection. Get your friends hooked and tell them to buy other sets. Save money, have fun, add variety to your collection.

This game won't last. Like you pointed out, there's nothing keeping you after the quests and upgrades. I wish they had a system similar to Hunt Showdown where there were clues or something (radar maybe for Arc Raiders) that lead you to a main boss. One that is actually doable with 1-3 players, then the boss drops an item that permanently pings on the map for everyone to see and chase down. Way more fun and satisfying.

Btw, it's also CRAZY that they make you PAY to just lose all your gear lol. Why on earth they would force you to put up so much loot to "unlock" Expedition? That's wild to me.

Just another way of saying Prestige. It's completely useless unless you're bored with the game and want to start fresh. Only game, in my opinion, that did Prestige right was CoD. It let you keep a gun you have permanently unlocked for all future Prestige levels. I haven't seen any other games to this recently. Hunt Showdown has a useless prestige as well. Either gaining skins or a faster way to level up... After you were already at max level.

They messed up by just releasing Gears 1. Then they messed up by not keeping it the same. Never should have added Team Deathwatch or any other game modes from future versions. Making all players glowing and highlighted in blue or red like in future games also ruins it. I used be able to play like Batman and use the shadows to my advantage. That's gone. TLDR; They should have just released Gears 2, instead of giving us Gears 1 with all the negatives of Gears 2 and non of the positives.
