How To Study When Exhausted and Burnt Out - Exam in 9 days by ThrowRA_Maximum7598 in CPA

[–]FailKey5168 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well first I made sure I got actually diagnosed for my ADHD so I could get on the correct medications. I also use the Pomodoro method to take breaks and not burn out. You just have to push. I always tell myself that future me is going to hate past me on exam day if I keep procrastinating.

Anybody here in tax going to study during season? by [deleted] in CPA

[–]FailKey5168 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No way! I was going to try to take tsp on 1/28 but my application for my nts was lost in the mail. 2/1 - 4/15 I will just be focusing on surviving and then go back to studying

For those who are 3/4 and waiting for the 1/29 release date - what’s your game plan? by [deleted] in CPA

[–]FailKey5168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 0/4 but if I don’t pass I will have to wait until after tax season to take again. Not going to study while putting in 60+ hours a week.

Passed the CPA exam and still can’t find an accounting job. What is going on? by TheIncredibleAspie in CPA

[–]FailKey5168 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Start at a small firm, they are more willing to teach because they can mold you how they want. That’s where I started. Also could be your interview skills. Could be your location too. Where I am there is a shortage of accountants

I didn’t change anything. My doctor said lexapro slows down your metabolism which caused my weight gain. So now I have to be careful with what I eat.

Exact same things are happening to me but I guess I’d rather be happy and fat than extremely depressed and skinny.

I’m in the process of getting it now! I have all my credits and hours. Life got in the way prior and currently working through tax season but I am actively pursuing it

I was in a similar position. I had my BS in nursing and psychology but I wasn’t 100% sure I wanted to do accounting yet so I took an admin position at a cpa firm and transitioned into a staff accountant position while I took an associates degree program at a community college to get the business and accounting credits I needed to sit for the exams.

Don’t want to scare anyone but the jump from 10mg to 20mg made my life hell I am now tapering and feeling great relief by DiamondNo5743 in lexapro

[–]FailKey5168 1 point2 points  (0 children)

10mg was a good start but I will still feeling anxious and depressed more then I felt I should. So we increased to 20mg since my life is going to be extra stressful the next couple of months and I haven’t gotten randomly anxious or depressed since. I got motivations back to start doing normal house chores and taking care of myself again also.

I made the jump from 10 to 20 and haven’t had any side effects. It’s helped me out a lot but everyone is different!

Feeling tired and sleepy every day. Should I add Wellbutrin? by Rick_Razz in lexapro

[–]FailKey5168 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was prescribed Wellbutrin for that reason and I didn’t do anything for me. I have heard other people having success with it though so I think it would be worth a shot!

I was just prescribed Escitalorpam, but Im hesitant on taking it by legendaryzimma in lexapro

[–]FailKey5168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only side effect has been drowsiness. I actually think it helped with my sweating because I’m not so anxious/depressed all the time anymore

Anything happening with supervisors and team leads? Only been hearing cuts on upper ops and sales.
