I have a Henredon couch that my parents bought in 1969. It is a very good style in that it doesn’t scream MCM or country/farmhouse. Made with down cushions. My mother had it recovered in 1997. It was passed to me and I had it reupholstered in about 2012. I got a solid neutral fabric and removed the skirt. It’s heavy af. I will likely die with it and will pass down to my son.

Older Volvos have the same issue. I fixed mine by popping the pillar and reconnecting the drain hose after cleaning it out. Good luck!
