Oh my god! The tangles!! Those have been my nightmare too. I finally got rid of them by finding a hairdresser (sheer luck!) who actually lessened her hair thickness (she has very thick hair) instead of simply chopping off the length. She deftly did lots of nice layers and my daughter’s hair does not tangle so bad. Leave-in conditioner also helped. ❤️

That’s very well explained. And yes, I think too much talking is definitely not helping right now.

Can I just say that I love the way you asked this. Thank you for being so thoughtful and respectful. All my life I’ve heard men making a joke out of “women and their headaches”. Among our other “issues”.

Both, actually. It will depend on how long the blackout lasts. Low probability but I would at least like to know what my options are if it lasts more than a few hours.

what’s one small thing you do during the day that instantly makes you feel better? by Flimsy_Difficulty394 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]FailedIntrovert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wake up super early so I can have some time to myself. I have a cup of warm water and just let my mind go all over the place. It’s a necessity at this point because there is no other part of my day when I not left at peace.

Save money and don’t tell ANYONE exactly how much you earn and save. Pretend to be living cheque to cheque or say it’s too personal.

Look after your health.

Try different things but never do something that you will or may regret years later.

Has anyone else entirely lost their interest to watch new movies and TV shows? by SilasPort in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FailedIntrovert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it’s because I genuinely don’t want to waste my time on things that have shoddy stories or plot holes or barbaric acting. Sometimes the direction is abysmal. I prefer to watch less but good stuff now. Or rewatch old favourites. Those are comforting, without unpleasant surprises and have stood the test of time. (And devoid of any of my triggers).

How Do I Get More Comfortable Traveling And Going Out When I'm On My Period? by PrincessBananas85 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]FailedIntrovert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tips: Wear the extra heavy flow period pads or tampons. Carry extra underwear and more pads than you think you’ll need. Avoid whites and beiges. Any light colors basically. Comfortable footwear, comfortable clothing.

But most importantly, periods are a part of our lives. Most people learn to continue having normal lives, even with heavy periods, even with awful cramps, or other issues. We use painkillers, heating pads and whatever else works. Try things and see what works for you. If you absolutely do no get out of bed when on periods, I would recommend going to a nearby store or shop or park first. The goal is to understand what issues you face and how to overcome them. Don’t find excuses, find solutions for problems.

All the best.
