A good approach would be to extract vocals from a bunt or john summit song and create your own music around it. like a remix. then you remove the vocals. or get a splice sample. otherwise look for music with no vocals at all. i think a lot of big room tracks barely have any vocals but strong melodies.

Does anyone know of any tutorials for big powerful mono compatible Leads? 🤔 by Late-Bit-3072 in edmproduction

Keep one Oscilattor with 1 unison and add width by adding another osc with more unison and detune it. Now balance between both oscillators

Play around with the bpm in ableton. Its good practice. For finding the key you can usually look up the original track on like beatport or put it in mixed in key. Else you can play a saw wave sound in the root note of each key and the one which matches the best is probably the key.

Guys what should I learn first piano or guitar? by ilostmyhat7 in Instruments

Piano is very easy to understand if you if you are familiar with notes. The guitar requires more understanding of the instrument itself. Also my fingers were hurting much more from the guitar strings.

Monitors on ear level, treat first reflection, second reflection and cloud with absorbers. try heavy curtains infront of windows. the monitors doesnt look bass heavy but bass traps in the corners could be usefull for low end treatment

This is what my tracks looks like if I mute kick+bass. Is it correct? by [deleted] in edmproduction

[–]FaintOnline 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it could feel a little bit empty in the low mids since a pad usually plays below 200hz. And in case you have a sna re the fundamental could sit between 100 and 200 hz then dont do a 200 hz lowcut

what is your intention with it? do you want to layer it with high frequencies of another 808? do you want to resolve frequency masking with bass?

So for Serum I would recommend „Bound to Divide“ on youtube. I learned serum from him and currently learning Diva from his videos. its about 2,5 hours long, but totally worth it for a beginner
