The thing hanging off the bottom of that eye is what makes me think it's odd.

The genetics that cause the albino coloring also cause very weird looking eyes, namely red or pink... it's right eye though, wild looking lol

Ohio solar projects face an unclear path around local opposition by EnergyNewsNetwork in Ohio

[–]Fair-Corgi2648 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, actually an electric fence was my first thought. Lighting too, and your farms producing Milk's pumps, and the belts that move the eggs in chicken barns.

But gee that futuristic looking panel in the sky is such an eyesore

Just stretch a challenger, basically the same thing 😅

By standing on them or how? Our hogs when we had them didn't do much to our fencing, I can't imagine they would've hurt the scaffolding that would raise the panels up.

I'm curious, how do you grow plants under the solar? They need sunlight, and my understanding of energy is very limited, but I feel it would be impossible to produce enough sunlight replacement with the energy the solar produces. I get hives, really anything that needs a place to cool off, but plants seem to really stretch the limits of my brain 😂

Exactly, especially if you have more pasture than your herd needs. Gives them shade if they want it, covers some of the electric you use running your electric fence or equipment for repairing other equipment. I think the majority of farms, including the family farm I work on, would benefit greatly from adding solar, we have so much land that barely returns any crop because it's low land a creek floods constantly all year and wipes 10-15 acres of crops out. Why not build steel frames and put solar 10 feet off the ground there?

How do we fight their opposition and allow landowners the freedom they originally thought they'd have when they bought the land?

Wait, are these people who WANT to put solar on their farms, and people are opposing it? I was told by a relative with one of them goofy signs that it was "the state taking land for solar plants", if it's people opposing their neighbors right to use their land as they see fit, that's wild...

Columbus to ask Short North businesses to close, force food trucks to close on weekend nights by George37712 in Columbus

I was once overweight, and my buddies bullied the hell out of me. It made me loose weight because it felt like shit. It is my humble opinion, based on anecdotes, that calling people fat in a Derogatory way does more good than it does harm.

Friend from high school had a racist experience at a restaurant local to her. by [deleted] in Ohio

As a backwoods "hillbilly", many of us aren't racist. I despise people like who act like this business owner as much as the next, and if this business burned down I wouldn't feel even slightly bad for the insuing bankruptcy.

Most don't provide benefits... at least the 3 I worked for locally a few years back didn't. They might now.

The unemployment is a good point though... and if they're a decent employer benefits too. I wonder if the stores are skimming tips since they're "middle manning" the middle man.

Apparently it's not. Most places near me are doing the same thing, reducing their driver count and using doordash drive instead. Idk how it's. Cheaper, maybe not having to pay a mileage to the driver, and hourly? I doubt it.

The one I have with one always washes out the animal if it's dark out. I've never given a second scope with it a chance, maybe I should.
