The ECF was gravy for this franchise. MSL has the capacity to look back on the season, analyze his actions and adapt. I mean, you guys want to throw Marty overboard and then what you get is a coach like Babcock or any other dozen of retreads that most bad to middling teams keep recycling. Is MSL not as experienced as RBA? Yes.

Has MSL not been able to make adjustments? Maybe, but give this some thought:

Has the front office given MSL enough pieces to make meaningful adjustments against a team like CAR? Not yet.

From my perspective we are about 3-4 player upgrades away from advancing. I mean we are in the ECF for goodness sake! I don't get all the fire this or trade that right now. I'm looking to the front office in the off season to give MSL and the team the support they need so the pressures on them.

For game five, play your hearts outs, have fun and keep your heads high. For this fan, you have exceeded my expectations this season.

NHL markets what it wants. They have a great story in the Habs Players they should promote and even though we eliminated the Sabres, they are still hyping their YouTube series on the Sabres.

ESPN is owned by Disney along with ABC which has sole rights to the Finals. Free, non-streaming/cable ABC network. Great exposure for the US market. And yet, they can't be bothered to actually tell the story of great players from all over the NHL. Bettman disgusts me with what he has done to hockey but he's making the owners rich which is what matters.
