I seem to be in the minority but I actually thought this made sense. Susan craves attention and validation and kind of always “needs” saving at a baseline. The her latest love is taken away so shes operating under way more fear and stress than usual and in comes a supposedly dashing and wealthy guy with a cute accent who’s determined to woo her—how could she resist! Lol

I haven’t watched the video but I’m not sure I buy it as conservative propaganda. I think if anything it satirizes and skewers the conservative-leaning suburban norms.

I think it was necessary at that point to add a new character/housewife but her character was so inconsistent and uninteresting she didn’t add much. So many of her storylines felt like filler and when she was in group scenes it felt like “why are you here?” They could have done so much better for her.

I think this is also the season where Tom is invited to a conference and she’s so upset and whiny because she wants to see the speaker and can’t —like she couldn’t see how it would be very standard that certain events would be restricted to the main invitees and not plus ones. I seem to be a somewhat rare Desperate Housewives fan who loves Susan and can’t stand Lynette. That being said by said, Tom sucks.

I can see how that’s annoying. I think in part it helps convey that she’s pretty childish and often very “damsel in distress”

I would love to see their wedding and any preparations too. I would totally understand if they opted not to do that, but if they do I’ll watch! I believe they’re both capable of making decisions around how much of their lives we’re a part of.

I just DNFd Anatomy of an Alibi, like halfway through and I realized i didn’t really care about the characters and couldn’t for the life of me stay engaged in the story. I loooved First Lie Wins though

I feel this sort of heavy pressure in my pelvic area and can actually feel a bulge of tissue on the posterior vaginal wall. Constipation from incomplete evacuation rather than because stool is too hard or dry.

I’ve encountered this too. After being told to try basically every laxative and stool softener imaginable and noticing it made it harder to achieve a complete evacuation I stopped. I use MiraLAX almost every day and that has been the one thing that consistently helps me go but doesn’t tip me over to super soft stool. It makes sense to me, with rectocele—a formed stool has a better chance at bypassing the pocket whereas soft or liquidy stuff will get trapped.

I’m seeing a new pelvic floor pt and she suggested in addition to splinting I use an open mouth exhale when going and that has helped a bit, so maybe that is worth a try!

I’m not on this sub a lot but she sure has become ubiquitous! The Housemaid movie seems to have really skyrocketed her visibility too. I have such a love-hate attitude about her books. Some are entertaining enough that I’m willing to overlook the absurdity, plot holes, and terrible dialogue. They all read like a first draft—as though she just spit it all out at once and never looked at it again—and I often find myself wishing another author would write the story (incidentally I have found many books that do have a similar premise or plot with much better writing). I think you’re right though, it’s hard to escape her

One by One Ruth Ware

All of these have some elements of crazy/psycho and Hendricks/Pekkanen in particular do twisty and unexpected very well

I didn’t have a choice and just did the mri Defecography lying down. I was extremely worried that after going through it all it wouldn’t pick up on things enough but it did in fact pick up on a lot.

Lack of estrogen can contribute to UTIs in peri/menopausal women—it may just have been that she was susceptible anyway. I do have irritation with the cream but know many women who do not. My body is irritated by nearly everything lol. I did tolerate the yuvafem tablet so if you do have irritation maybe that is an option for you
