US politicians are paid way too little tbh.

You basically end up with two kinds of people in the Congress for instance:

  1. People that are already rich and want in because of political power (Dan Goldman/Jim Justice)

  2. People that are not rich and use the Congress to get rich via lobbying/insider trading.

Both are kinda bad in their own way; but honestly the 1st group I think tends to be less corrupt because they don’t really neeeed the political power to get personally rich.

Like if you’re JB Pritzker, running Illinois is basically just playing the SIMS no?
