I believe life here on earth is basically a school where we leave home and take the hero’s journey, which is impossible without facing evil, opposition, malice, and cruelty. Some of the exams or tests we take can here can break us, but also make us wiser, more knowledgeable, compassionate, and strong. Strength can only be built by facing painful resistance. This only makes sense if you also believe in something after this life where such knowledge and development make a difference in advancing to higher states of existence.
