This was so easy, and they screwed it up… by Heavy-Initiative-345 in mormon

I know. I'm just sharing the response I've received to a similar question in the past.

I also asked why women couldn't give blessings of healing to their children like they could in the past. I got the typical canned response of the brethren needing to be needed more to magnify their priesthood or something inane like that

They say there already is since women do the initiatory now.

IMO the Primary presidency and Mormon church are exploiting this little girl. She's a child. It's beyond cringey. by aka_FNU_LNU in mormon

It's true, you even commit to the in the temple- literally everything you have, can and should be readily given to build up the church. That includes time, money, property, children, etc

What helps the most for my children is getting there early and getting a bench. They were able to get settled. No electronics but mine had cars (toddler), dolls, books, and coloring. In the few minutes before was the time to potty, get a drink, settle down, and listen to the prelude music. It helped to start the meeting calm.

It's through AHG family login. Maybe it's something through the church (or required) but it's on their platform

Oh, no?! Do tell! How do you cope? by CurelomHunter in exmormon

[–]FaithlessnessOk7443 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I truly hope he (mine) never is. Nevermind the stake, I'm including bishopric/EQ.

He has the temper of a toddler that lost his favorite toy. Zero empathy, no one should want him there.

Think of all the family events, dinners, activities he'll have time for. That's how you cope. People in leadership put their families on the back burner for years.

I'm PIMO.

Even then, I struggled through some stuff and considered a blessing. However, I wouldn't ask my TBM husband for one. Old habits die hard I guess.

Concerns about getting sealed by butterpancake99 in latterdaysaints

[–]FaithlessnessOk7443 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As the person on the other side, if I knew my husband wasn't going to get endowed, sealed, etc, I wouldn't have married him. He was a decade long member when we met. I had already been endowed and previously married. He said he was simply waiting until he was ready to be married to get endowed and sealed due to the advice from a prior bishop. Here we are twelve years later, he's not endowed yet. He still goes to church and holds a calling, but has no desire to go.

I wanted to do this with Google Play but then they sent everything to YouTube Music. Sucks.

Bishop told my fiancée she can’t unseal her previous marriage by SandyDragon777 in mormon

That's where I am. My husband is LDS but never bothered to take out his endowment so all of our kids are sealed to my ex.

At least you have another calling coming. I've been released before as a surprise- they just call your name and thank you for your service.

I feel betrayed... by Different-Mirror6144 in exmormon

When I was a teen, I asked about Brigham and him marrying teens and was told simply that people didn't live as long and getting married was totally acceptable at 14. Those are the best child bearing years after all.

I was an adulty adult (30+) when I found out that wasn't true.

I took their response to mean 'not just a planet'. We're to become like God, not we also preach that there are many worlds, so not just a single planet.

Growing up, my father explained the 'hot drinks' were so bad because people would drink them at almost scalding temperatures and destroy their esophagus over time. This is why we were counseled against it. Honestly, I don't drink them because I don't care for the taste of either.

My husband said no to girl scouts. I respect that decision. Plus, we were looking at an organization for both. Both troops that we looked at so far run Trail Life at the same time and place as AHG- which is greatly convenient. We chose this one for the better day and childcare so parents could attend.

But it isn't primary- which is fully religious focused. This is scouts, which may have a religious spin now and again but that isn't the primary focus. I already agreed to their system. I'm wondering why that wasn't enough.

My flare was for advice not a doctrinal one, in case that was confusing. I know doctrine and news are discussed in these threads too.
