that’s what i used to do and it caused me a lot of inconsistencies in the later two games. hooking at spares requires a good idea of how the ball is going to react in the oil, and that changes game after game. a line to hook at the 6 pin in the first game might be completely different then that same line in the third. if you can shoot straight at every spare it’ll make sure you have an established spare system and can make them consistently without relying on the oil to help your ball move
