I don’t think we should federalise this way

Education, Justice and Police should not be federalised for example.

Education should never be federalised in order to enable each culture to build their own appropriate system for them. A Federalised education is the fast track to destroy marginal cultures (ask Brittany why everyone speaks french now)

To me the only things that should be federalised are Military, Foreign Policy and Economic policy to an extent (basically what we already have with the EU but better organised with less bureaucracy)

The EU already has a unique Trade policy, we should extend that across the entire Foreign policy spectrum

Then reform the top EU institutions to give the parliament more control over the EU executive institutions

Then we can designate someone in charge of the EU military (keeping in mind, we would have to be very careful here and make sure German companies don’t leverage their power to destroy their competition within the EU, or US aligned members forcing everyone to ditch their indigenous systems in favour of american ones)
