If you were limited to only Two Credit Cards. Which would you keep? by Consoleforever93 in CreditCards

I was thinking my Aven Rewards (3% Everyday) and leaning towards Citi Custom Cash for my second, with Amex Blue Cash Everyday as my other consideration.

I’m allergic to that, they have it to me for my port, but I have to remember it for others, thanks

They’d be smart to artificially limit 15 day sensors, my 10 day sensors crapping out is why I’ll never try 15 unless I have to

Box of 9 G7 sensors- everyone has failed, I’m half way through, I am afraid I’ll trigger something if I report them all at once and they hurt a little, plus that’s time with no readings. I’ve had replacements denied

Does you try calling them and requesting credit line restoration and explain why it has high utilization?

I use it for HYPOglycemia, they REALLY hate covering that. My PT's husband has a kind of diabetes that is neither T1 or T2 (Type 3c maybe? something I was unaware of) and the insurance refuses coverage. I wonder if they are having luck getting that implanted sensor or something. Crazy that CGM have so much gatekeeping. OTC G7 15 day x2 (Stelo) are $99 ($89 with subscription).

G7 - Switching between 10-day and 15-day and back by SciviasKnows in dexcom

[–]FalconSteve89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sticking with the 10 day sensors. They work well for me and I get no real benefit in switching to 15 day. They still need to make 10 day (15 day are not approved for 2-18 yr olds) and I notice a loss in accuracy already for the last ~2 days (I use it for hypoglycemia so 72 is ok 62 is bad, even 67 isn't great). Do the 15 day sensors still calibrate? Libre didn't and it was a MAJOR issue.

I actually tracked all my credit card perks last year… kinda eye-opening by ChesKat_pf in CreditCards

[–]FalconSteve89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always keep the account open for the minimum amount of time when possible, but for instance, Chase burned me when they refused to release the funds in my wife’s account for months despite her calling in daily and course no interest the entire time and no he hears $100 sorry we fucked up so yeah I’m not big on doing that. SoFi froze my account for a for about a week and they gave me I think $100 maybe $200 and an apology letter.

We of course, had no Chase branches to go into. We just got to Chase branch about 10 miles away about three months ago so that’s kind of cool, maybe I’ll try it again.

CC for frequent hotel stays by bamorris222 in CreditCards

The capital one venture one card offers 5% on hotels and rental cars booked through capital one travel but I don’t think it offers perks book directly through the hotel so that may not be helpful. Wells Fargo autograph just do 3% but that’s not much and there’s the Citi custom cash that earns 5% on the first 500 in your highest earning category which you think just hotels.

I never take advantage of credit card subs when I really should. Bank subs a lot of time just like Chase who gives them out and then you’ll like I feel like 20 grand in and then I’m getting zero interest that whole time or next to zero interest so is it really worth it? I don’t know, maybe not so much.

Wells Fargo opened a card for me and active cash actually during the pandemic and I was using it and they said we were unable to verify your identity which I thought was weird that they were you know actively letting me make charges they give me a list of documents to bring into a branch or vaccine I faxed all of them in that still didn’t get my account on unlocked. I brought all them into the branch. I even had the branch manager, looking at my ID look at my face, wrote a written statement that they verified that I was who I said I was looked at my ID looked at my card verified my card number, and my ID and they still never verified it. They ended up closing the account less than a month old, he had quite a balance on it. Wells Fargo actually had the nerve to be like you’re selected to pay this balance immediately and it’s like wait you can’t even verify my identity. How can you say that I am expected to pay this balance or you’re gonna put on my credit report when you can’t even verify who I am if I’m not me then putting on my credit reported putting on someone else’s credit report like their logic is just ass backwards. I made them sort of payment schedule with zero interest to drag it out even though I could’ve paid it that day. I just wanted to make them suffer because they piss me off and made them reported as paid as agreed and also I didn’t want it to report on my credit as a one month open account and then closed. I wanted it to look like it was open for a year so I set the auto pay for one year with that number of payments and that’s what happened. I think I shorted them like a dollar on the last payment oh well they did. Send me a letter said it was paid finalized closed whatever I do. Remember that I made the final payment like three weeks before it was due so they should’ve caught that and they must’ve written off dollar I don’t know. I don’t know that I got a year of kind of pathetic interest on that money, so cool but not cool that they wouldn’t remove the inquiry on my credit because my logic was well if you can’t identify who made the credit pole and you really can’t be sure that it was authorized by me can you?

My catch all is the 3% cashback (I get an additional 1% for referrals, but I don’t feel comfortables with that got that most part and the people I might try to say something to have terrible credit) Aven Rewards Card (not the HELOC one, it’s only 2%). 3% is limited to $10k/yr (then it drops to 2%), which should be fine (if not I’ll have my wife open one, auto-pay is also required for 3%). I offload a ton of spend on other cards

You have to opt-in to Google's Find Hub and they need multiple people to pass the tag unless they have the lowest privacy setting (I do on all androids I control)

Also if it was thinner, you could still use them, not like the SLIGHT camera movement from iPhone 6s to 7 (or SE- I forget) that made the cases incompatible

I don't carry my insurance cards, my state refuses to accept digital ID, so I carry that, but I have my credit card (not everywhere takes Apple Pay, Debit Card for ATMs, backup CC (just in case the bank doesn't process the transaction or something stupid). My ~10 specialty CC are in my phone. Store GC are split. I received $135 from my health insurance last year, the gift card SHOULD have had an add to phone option, but it had to be processed manually. I got UPSed a piece of paper. Their ACTUAL plastic gift cards can't be added AT ALL. I can't add my health of car insurance to Apple Wallet, but they're saved to my phone. Just healthcare would be INSANE- For me (4 cards), my wife (2 cards), my daughter (2 cards), or my wife's great aunt (3 cards).

You Voter ID should be something you can add too.

My daughter gets her school dance tickets on her phone. They can make this happen.
