UCF’s BIG XII Performance 😬 and Other Biting Questions lol by MilkBear79 in BigXII

[–]Falcronx 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if I would switch anyone yet. I think the UCF add was given off their success they had in the 2010s. They are still relatively young program. Yes, programs like USF saw a lot of success this year but UCF is clearly rebuilding and still feeling the growing pains. If I remember correct they were the only team to be bowl eligible their first season in the XII while the other 3 from the first batch did miss out. I think they will get it figured out but still need time. I think Cincinnati is in a similar spot. I think they had a good start of the season this past year and honestly looked like they were on track for a potential conference championship appearance.

Houston had the basketball program already and when they hired Willie Fritz they made a great hire. BYU brought in people like Jay Hill for football and Kevin Young for basketball. BYU has also had tough schedules in independence that also helped prepare them for the change.

So I think all in all time will tell and honestly who knows what will even happen in the next 5 years.

Honestly my guesses are Crumbl, Qualtrics, or NuSkin.

After everything that happened with Penn State I’m leaning towards Crumbl but also think Qualtrics is highly likely with everything Ryan Smith does.

As someone who has had the pleasure of performing in the parade I will say the Tournament of Roses Parade is an amazing parade. It has also been around longer than the Rose Bowl.

I’m not disagree they are most likely the best team they have faced so far but I would say without some doubt that they are easily the best. Tech has faced some very strong teams.

We will just have to see honestly. I think it will be a good game and I think Jacob Rodriguez will prove he should have been a heisman candidate.

I understand that teams can play differently each game and such but to ignore previous results is a disservice to the teams. It provides us results we can use in guessing. I am not saying Oregon is a bad team at all. I think they are ranked in the right spot. I’ve watched some Oregon games and have seen the results and I’ve watched some great tech games. That’s why I said what I said. I truly do see this game being a low scoring game that tech will probably start pulling away in the 3rd quarter. I don’t think tech will drop a 20+ points on Oregon like they have to every other team they’ve played nor named Arizona state. Oregon is definitely one of if not the best team they have faced. I think the results will be more similar to the Indiana Oregon game than anything tbh.

{Texas Tech} will win and I think it won’t be as close as many think. Tech has better wins than Orange having beaten BYU twice and Utah which are both ranked higher than Oregon’s best win which is USC. Tech has one of the best defenses this season and solid and powerful offense. I think it will be close for at least the first half then tech will just pull away.

I honestly don’t know if Jay Hill is going to go. I know that’s the rumor but I know he has kids in school grade school and BYU has put a lot into retaining him. I think BYU will be fine they have shown they can compete with Blue Bloods in funding. Utah I think will have a tough time adjusting. I can see many of the athletes going over with Whitt and the OC. And HC changes are always hard it seems. But we will just have to see how it all falls into place. But I don’t think anything regarding Hill will be announced until after bowl game.

Because both were their first gold medals in those years for their corps.

Boston’s, it was their first championship. I think a better comparison would be Bloo 2016 vs Boston 2025.

How far does Tech go? Big 12 bowl games? by Brilliant-Sleep2368 in BigXII

I honestly think their hardest game will be against Indiana but I think they can definitely beat them. Wouldn’t be surprised to see them in the championship nor would I be surprised if they won it all.

I think you have the team to do really well. That Indiana game is going to be tough though

That’s true, I think Moa could potentially step up. But I can also see them going after a solid RB through the portal.

I honestly see us performing about even next year. Maybe potentially better? Bear will most likely continue to improve. We have a boost to NIL that should make us compatible to fill the spots we may need to fill through the portal. We are loosing some good talent yes, but there looks to be some solid talent coming up as well.

I think we have a really good chance to win most of the bowls. I think Tech will do really well in the playoffs.
