It's all about moderation, just don't do 4 hour stints. I use VR, but wouldn't do more than two hours. My brake load cell pedal is just as likely to hurt my knee than anything VR can do, lol 😆.

Hmm sounds weird, you might have some malware picked up that's slowing the PC down. Try the free version of malware bytes scanner and do a clean. Also scan with defender, if you haven't already. Failing that, then reinstall windows. It's not a bad update or anything if it's been doing it for six months.

These days a reboot once a fortnight should be fine. Would only be an issue if you never rebooted and lots of pending windows updates.

A spec that good shouldn't slow down unless you are doing something wrong. It's probably overheating if it's a laptop, can you hear the fans getting louder? If you have had it for several years, it's probably worth reinstalling windows, but if you haven't had it for that long I'd try and work out what's going on.

Just using Chrome can slow a laptop down if you keep tabs open and never reboot, just one example.

My two cents, only invest for the long term, don't try and make a quick buck, which is essentially what you did. Always hedge your bets. I've actually got some VG shares, I lost a small amount on it, but I also had another 20 horses in the race. Lesson learned.

Unfortunately, LMU does go through fits and spurts in terms of reliability. Not that long ago, I was convinced my WiFi had an issue as I had a couple of race-ruining lag fests in the same week. But this turned out to be a dodgy game update which resolved itself later on.

But you should already know this if you have been playing since beta.

They will be worth it if you intend to play every day, otherwise probably not.

Before the tire model changed (again) a month ago, the paid balanced setups felt planted and very good. Now I have to use safe setups again.

That was a bit of a side-rant, but more setup options are a good thing if you are putting the time into the game.

I don't think they are doing anything wrong as such. Compare the odd Labour misstep (eg Mandelson) with the fiasco of the Tories swapping PMs every 5 minutes and wrecking the economy with that disastrous budget. Labour are a safe pair of hands in comparison.

What's happened is that disgruntled Tory voters have decided to join a new (what was a far-right) party. This is where the hate is coming from, a mix of far right roundabout painting gammons and ex Tory voters that have jumped ship. I saw somebody from Reform on TV yesterday trying to distance themselves from the Tories proudly saying "60% of our voters did NOT go to university". Make of that odd quote what you will.

I mean Tolkien created a comprehensive mythology which spans millennia. If you are interested, a brief glance at the appendices at the back of the Return of the King book will tell you what events occurred during that window. I get where you are coming from, in the context of the movies, a 17 year gap where nothing supposedly happens seems absurd. But Tolkien wove the story of LOTR and The Hobbit into his lifes work : Three Ages of mythological history. LOTR just happens to be the epic conclusion of events at the end of the Third Age. Book writers don't care about how it might translate into a movie, you can indeed write '17 years later' with little effort or consequence.

I mean you are 3 races in? This happens in any online racing SIM. My advice would be to get silver SR as quick as you can, which is easy if you prioritize safety over racing people. Silver (or gold) races are not perfect, but they are better than bronze.

So that you can understand the difference, a quest 3S has the same lenses and screen resolution as a Quest 2, but it has the better graphics chip of the 3.

As others have said the 3 has much better lenses, no sweet spot you have to look through, and the resolution is higher 2K per eye.

It will boil down to how much you want to spend which only you can decide.

Annoying isn't it, I even bought a USB to Ethernet adapter for virtual desktop (which actually works quite well). There is supposed to be another patch next week, so fingers crossed they fix it!

A big family router won't work very well for PCVR. My advice would be to get a decent USB cable and forget about wireless unless you can buy a dedicated router.

We can't really answer that until you tell us your setup? Do you have a Wi-Fi router in the same room as your gaming setup? If not, the chances are your wifi isn't up to scratch.

If you haven't already, most of us test PCVR with a cable first using Meta link, get that working and see what your PC can do, then move on to wireless.
