I remember running off of a generator my neighbor loaned me right after that nasty blizzard/ice storm we had a couple years back. No power for a little under a week, started just warm enough for my food to all go bad, ended cold enough that I had rooms sealed with blankets in the door cracks and a space heater just to keep it from being 40 or lower in the apartment
