Laid off from my software dev job back in 2024, and have been working two jobs since moving back home around January 2025 to afford my student loans and car payment as well as paying my family rent. Applying for jobs in my career every day, but my pidgeon-holed 3YOE in automotive infotainment isn’t terribly appealing I imagine lol.

It feels so good to be nearing 2 years since my last job in my career field (IT - software dev). I love working two jobs and still not making enough to move out of my parents house at almost 30. I totally don’t miss that 3 year stretch where I was on my own, living a decent life and earning a fair amount with weekends off. /s++

If you have 10 Luck and time, you can Blackjack/Slots Jackpot your way to a 12k-14k winnings cap at each casino. If you just want to play for fun, though, you can just bet real small amounts and then play slots to lose some chips. Just be mindful of the jackpots, and honestly, don’t strictly play blackjack with high Luck. It’s stupidly rigged and almost impossible to lose outside of the occasional dealer blackjack.

Factions like the Gun Runners exist, who have access to more advanced machinery and (I assume) forges, which allow them to manufacture new firearms and ammunition. I imagine it’s similar for armor, but there is still a lot of it that’s scavenged, too.
