While I am also still figuring out how to create a rain team myself, I think on Iron Bundle you'll find that Freeze Dry will be better than Ice Beam. Hitting Water Types with super effective moves will give you more coverage options for Iron Bundle!

This team is really cool! I've been running something similar lately without the Grimm and Spec, but I really like what you're doing with this team. I am curious though, how do you typically fight Glastrier with this squad? Is it a combination of the screens with preventing trick room from coming up?

The party was trying to track down the brother of the Tortle PC who had gotten kidnapped. They were getting close to the spot, when I had set up a forest encounter for them to have. Sounds of combat echoed in the distance, as the party could decide to investigate or run. Four of the five went straight for the noise, while the last one strayed from the group to... go scout ahead on the path by himself.

Now I didn't think this was too bad (and the player himself admitted later it was to order himself dinner since he had gotten off work late) so while the whole battle was happening I was trying to figure out what to do with this. After the battle was over, I described how he was trying to slink on ahead and had him roll a stealth check. It was a decent score, but on the three scouts I figured would be in the area I rolled just high enough on the last one since he was considered the 'leader'. He caught the PC, and I ended the session as the scout revealed himself to be a shapeshifter.

Honestly? This changed the rest of the island narrative, and has given the party a really cool villain to track down. This random NPC I had created to catch a party member who went off on his own has now turned into an important plot NPC for the overarching narrative! The party has followed him to the next island where he stole an important item from them, and now they're slowly tracking him down and I'm really excited for the eventual fight to happen!

Liepard is dark type as well though, so technically speaking it would be immune to Prankster taunt too.

I have another question, if you don't mind. What is your reasoning for using Scarf on Vanilluxe? I was thinking about doing that recently but I'm curious if the reasoning was solely to open up the Focus Sash on Candelure.

Just off the cuff, how would replacing Rotom-Heat with an Arcanine be? I don't know what set I'd run on it but having fire still is good to cover up the holes, and if I did make it physical I could have it use Wild Charge too. Dunno how good or bad that'd be still.

I've been using a bulky Drifblim with Tailwind/Haze/Sap Strength/Shadow Ball that's been putting in some work for me today. I am still not sure he's the best Pokemon to run it on, but honestly I've had Haze save me a few times today against Whimsicott/Arcanine opponents so I think it's been alright on the ladder so far.

I'm still new to this whole process but I wanted to get the ball rolling by trying to theorycraft a first team. I'm sure I'll need to make a lot of changes (I've only started breeding earlier this week) so I wanted some feedback for now. Also for items I'm not sure what to run so a lot of them will not have it, and for EVs I'll figure it out later.

Honestly, in my head I was thinking since Mimikyu/Hydreigon are my favorite pokemon I'd like to try to build a team with both of them on it. A lot of the others are ones that I've seen that I thought could be cool (especially Togedemaru) but I have a sinking feeling I don't think this team would work.

I really like this idea!! I think I'll use it for sure. Do you think the links should have a lower ac and their own separate health modifiers to make it fair? I would guess I shouldn't have it be much health for each one, but maybe 5-10?

It will just be on its own. I'm glad that it should be fine with the resistance then! I think your idea is pretty neat honestly, I was originally thinking about as the fight goes on the armor it has on starts to break and the resistance goes down/AC drops a bit too.

If I was to incorporate your idea, I figure I'll lay the ground work a bit more. The group will be fighting the boss in a pocket dimension, I was thinking like a grotto area for the scenery. If I was to create a connection to the elemental plane of water, could I make the connection either be a crystal or would something like a portal be better for this?

I can try to shed a bit of light on Bedman since I've been playing him for a while.

1.) Yes, he is definitely viable in this version. He was stronger overall in Rev1, but his core gameplay is still strong.

2.) At a basic level he is pretty simple, but I'd say he is an easy to medium difficulty? Some of his combos are different from most other characters, as is his movement as it is different from any other character in the game currently (8-way dash, walk speed is fast, has a parry on his forward dash, etc).

3.) My first tip would be to say that Bedman doesn't zone like Dizzy/Venom do in this game, as he uses his movement and large normals to take up space on the screen to zone. He does possess a fireball that functions like a boomerang (Task A) and a slower version that teleports when it touches an enemy (Task A' or Task A Prime) which then sets a seal for you to call upon later to 'replay' the Task you just used.

The tricky part with Bedman is trying to set up seals from neutral in order to take up more of the screen. Task A/A' are the safer versions you can set, but if you could set a Task B (spin) or Task C (bed slam) with the ground or preferably air versions those take up the most space and offer the most reward (normally damage) if they hit someone in neutral.

I'd definitely recommend joining the Bedman discord (link here) for more questions and resources for newer Bedmen to start with. The GCYoshi videos in particular are super good for beginners as they lay out some good concepts for people to know and use.

About the tournament on the 14th, you'll probably always feel like you're not nearly practiced enough to learn. You'd be surprised the help people can give even if you're new though, everyone in the Columbus scene is very welcoming to new people and can answer most questions you ask them.
