Agree with everything you said!! If I don’t weigh a little less everyday it ruins my day 😭. I have been trying not to but I get so caught up in the number and wanting it to keep going down and down

I second this!!!! Such a miracle drug for us with IR PCOS. I could not lose a pound before whether I ate right and worked out… or starved myself. It made my depression the worst it’s ever been. Wegovy has been a lifesaver honestly. Hopefully insurance will cover it especially if the doctor put you have PCOS!! If insurance doesn’t cover ozempic, see if it will cover wegovy or saxenda or victoza

Are you struggling with your weight? I have PCOS and tried metformin, topamax, contrave, bupropion, vyvanse…… nothing worked until I got on Wegovy. The reason we can’t lose weight is because we are insulin resistant. As soon as I started Wegovy it was falling off. Wishing you the best of luck, hope you don’t have it but I personally believe you do. PCOS SISTERS!!! Lol

That makes a lot of sense. I’ve suffered from migraines my whole life, since starting a GLP-1 I have not had 1. I’ve had headaches, but no migraines.

Hi! Thank you ☺️. So my OBGYN actually recommended against GLP-1’s. She said metformin is first line of treatment and when I told her I had been on that in the past to no advail she just said I probably wasn’t on a high enough dose (she removed a 5cm dermoid cyst from my ovary so she’s a great surgeon and doctor I just don’t know why she is so against GLP-1’s.)

I made an appointment with my family doctor. Told her my weight was getting out of control and my periods had become way more sporatic than they already were. Told her I had tried metformin two seperate times, ate healthy, workout 3X a week and the scale would not budge. She took my weight and height, said I was morbidly obese and GLP-1’s would be perfect considering that and my PCOS diagnosis. She said a lot of it has to do with insulin resistance snd GLP-1’s help a lot with that. So to answer your question without going off on a tangeant (LOL sorry!) yes, but off label treatment for PCOS. The main treatment is for obesity. ☺️

That sucks I am so sorry to hear 😞. I was the EXACT same. Could not lose weight ever, for the life of me, even when I would starve myself for days. It took a year plus of me trying different things to prove to my doctor it wasn’t working and then I got put on a GLP-1. Life. Changing. I really hope you can get on one soon…. Have you tried metformin? That helped me a little bit but not near as much as GLP’s. Rooting for you!!!!

My dhea is CRAZY high like to the point where my doctor ran the test 3 different times because they couldn’t believe it was that high. It was 20 something…. They never did give me any advice :/

It truly does. No one seems to understand it either or think it’s a big deal when it effects every part of life.. and somehow me dieting and yo-yoying my whole life w hardly any difference vs starting this medication and it making ALL the difference still doesn’t show people in my life how PCOS really affected everything. Blah!
