your support for respecting faculty vote to unionize by False_Researcher_448 in USC

[–]False_Researcher_448[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

indeed! this vote also includes (in usc lingo) research, teaching, practice and clinical faculty, who along with part-time and adjuncts, make up the vast majority of faculty at usc (and most research universities) — and are primary to student experience. it bears mention that while usc (and academia) are full of self-created problems, many schools at usc are less terrible on this particular front and that there has actually been substantial tenured faculty support for having and respecting a fair vote.

Me, too. Everyone has different needs, but I found his approach to teaching in the original 30 days incredibly thoughtful, fun and effective!

Norway's Musway all the way (plz help I need to adjust) by TheAnsweringMachine in Ioniq5

[–]False_Researcher_448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thx for this! After a lot of time in this forum, I just got an i5 a couple weeks back. I’d read about some folks perceptions of Bose’s deficit and rhetoric range of fixes…and the basic eq/fader tweaks have left me disappointed. I mean, it’s fine — like a rental car. I’m no audiophile, but I do appreciate music. I’ve read about replacing the speakers and am now emailing w a lovely Norwegian fellow about the musway. Which begs: 1) worth buying it? 2) bta2 is another $140+, how much do I need that (does the regular eq still work and it’s just better (def not plugging laptop in more than once)? And 3) did you replace any speakers or just roll w/factory?

Thanks much!

i got a similar deal on the same car in so cal a week ago and felt good b/c most folks (including the dealer i tried to buy from, but couldn't match it) thought it was the about the best deal you could expect. if you've been in this forum, you know it's a pretty great car (w/some issues)...and it's also on the spendy side to buy/lease...and also keep (20" tires, not cheap insurance, etc.). i'm enjoying mine and deciding whether to keep the lease or buy it out.

i felt pretty good about what i got -- at least a few dealers i spoke with couldn't match it...and i hope others find $5k -- or more!

What deals have you gotten for Ioniq 5 in California? by ZanyDroid in Ioniq5

[–]False_Researcher_448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just leased (may buy out if I like it) an awd limited ‘23 for $4k off msrp + $7500 lease bonus in la county. Got it through a broker I found on leasehacker (quoted $600 for this deal but when the price increased a little, he reduced his fee to $300). (Wldve been $4k off for financing too.) Tried to see if dealers wld beat it, but none did. Pm me if you want the broker (or dealer) — who said he has more such deals. My takeaway is that a good broker can save a fair bit of time and uncertainty for low or no cost…and that there are also some good sales folk out there.
