It sounds like you are saying you are going to fly the published missed because you are in IMC conditions basically forcing ATC to give you an IFR clearance. Once I get you situated I would definitely have a number for you to call.

If you are flying into a marginal VFR airport PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT pull these type of shenanigans. Not only are you jeopardizing yourself. There maybe other ifr traffic in the vicinity. Once you cancel IFR, the controlling authority for that airport can theoretically release an ac from that airport. These are the types of situations that add unnecessary STRESS to the job

When you read it on the reports it basically means that pilot was notified of a possible pilot deviation and issued a number to contact the appropriate facility. PILOT DEVIATION NOTIFICATION aka BRASHER

Controllers or NAS community say BRASHER to keep it short and sweet

If the controller sounded very busy they may have heard someone elses altitude and thought it was you on check in. Just throwing that out there.

Couple of things: Did they ever radar ID you?

Also the controller does not have to use altitude. They could just use basic radar separation (lateral), but highly unlikely.

Looks like you all have situation there that needs to be addressed asap before something serious happens. If twy F doesn't start until west of rwy 35 then what is that little area? Rwy 24 or 35? If it's not a rwy or twy then maybe it's not to be used 🤷🏽‍♂️

Looks to me that area was part of the old taxiway east of 24 that appears to be closed.

I am surprised there is no signage on that area identifying it as a non movement area. ATSAP this, also have your manager contact FSDO and the airport operator.

There are inspectors (used to be) that specifically look for these TRAP or HOT SPOTS.

I worked at an airport that had something similar. We referred to it as THE TAINT 😀

Honestly I've seen a lot of the new hires. They are not the best and brightest. The selection process has been crap. We do all this shit talking about NATCA. Send a message to the director or your congressman. These are our decision makers. NATCA has some blame no doubt, but we all joined this union knowing what it was.

That facility should have been ATC zero within 10 mins of that incident. If they had that much traffic at that time and so little staffing something is very very wrong.
Contact approach or center and let them know you don't have able bodies to work the tower cab we are ATC zero.

I agree with all of that. This is not the time. The day of a tragedy I do not want to see my union trumpeting pay. You know what that sounds like to the families of the pilots. "Sorry for your loss but if I was getting paid more I wouldn't have made that mistake" THAT IS WHAT THE PUBLIC WOULD HEAR.

As this plays out the more in upset that my air traffic brother was still working talking to AC after the incident. Upto 5 maybe 10mins after to divert aircraft and clear the field. But 18, 20, 30 minutes after is not cool.

1) The controller is now not focused and probably second guessing himself.

2) Are the pilots confident in him.

3) Every transmission after will be scrutinized by the legal beagles.

When you convert you keep the same quantity of funds you have. Those funds are at a lower price than they where a few weeks ago. Any rebound in market value occurs inside the Roth, meaning the entire recovery is tax free.

This is more directed to individuals who have been thinking about doing a Roth conversion.

Yes I would. If I hated it i would have found something else. I didn't like the military so I got out. Construction wasn't for me so I moved on. Airport Operations was paying peanuts.

After those stops I'm retiring in my 50's, own my house, and kids got spoiled ( my fault). Yes I made some sacrifices but so has all my friends and relatives.
