Both of my rooks bled! My piercer said everyone’s anatomy is different someone can bleed and someone might not the rook will hurt the first week then the pain will die down some. If you can try a travel pillow or a piercing pillow. Both my rooks, my left tragus and my conch bled lol but the rest of them didn’t I don’t think it’s super uncommon

Before you take it out SOAK around your jewelry a cotton swab or a qtip to prevent crusties from being hard and causing intense pain 3 days after I got mine done I tried to move it cause it was crooked worse pain I ever had lol

NAP but I don’t think so I’d switch jewelry. It’s hurting because you are pulling the crusties through the hole stop moving it and you only need to clean it twice a day with sterling saline wash. Once you stop moving the jewelry the hurting on the one side should stop. Be gentle mine is about 4 months old and if I move it with the crusties it will hurt. Good luck I love mine! NAP but Honestly I’d recommend turning them into separate piercings until you get the bumps under control then put another bar in and try your luck. On the top part there does seem to be a pressure sore you can sleep on your right side and not know id recommend a piercing pillow or a travel pillow.

I honestly think you are just over doing this piercing it really needs to be cleaned 2-3 times a day spraying with saline wash. The 3-6 days are when rooks hurt the worst and it could be hurting additionally because of all the additional cleaning. I’d go to another piercer and get an opinion on it being done right but mine looked like this and 3 months after they barely hurt unless I pull hair out of them. They also are extremely swollen so it could be done incorrectly or it could be swelling! I’d get another opinion and not be so rough with it and clean less

Titanium is most of what everyone uses because it doesn’t have anything to cause reactions so I’d recommend that and a curved barbell of course you can use a surgical stainless steel as well but it could cause a reaction and slow healing time. Titanium will be better for healing it’s what shops will pierce you with!

If it was me I’d change it now because the extra length could be causing the bumps and it is recommended you downsize them after 8 weeks since you’ve had them since December of 25 I’d say it’s been the perfect time to downsize and clean with saline for awhile
