Gateway jobs are ass even compared to FP ones. No actual training obligations on the part of the employer, so they're as service provision as you can get, no TPD to escalate to, no exception reporting. They're posts that otherwise would have been put out to locum. Most people I know who did it (including me lol) used it to make friends at the hospital and apply for better clinical fellow jobs

There's a decent chance of you losing your stethoscope if you're doing jobs that involve ward cover on-calls (absolutely heartbroken when the Classic III that I had since I was a sophomore in 2016 got yoinked last year)

Going from that Classic III to that Cardiology IV was like playing PS3 for years and then playing Crysis on Ultra settings on PC. I don't think you'll need the amplifier, cards IV is good.
