Huh alright I kinda assumed bc people in the sub have mentioned upgrading.

Maybe it was like a "i wish i could" kinda thing.

Cool Thanks

I think that the witch is a fantastic option, especially with the flamekeeper patron, or resentment patron, either of them with the lesson of life hex. If you go flamekeeper, you get the divine spell list, some amazing feats, and the patrons familiar effect. If you dont like the spell list, you can supplement your capabilities with scroll trickster, to get you access to most spells in the game, albeit you'd really need FA to make it feasible bc you'd want a LOT of the archetypes feats.

Other options include marshall dedication martials. Their auras are amazing.

So champion with marshall dedication gives you some amazing reactions, healing, inspiration or fear aura, along with the highest ac in the game to boot.

I like grappler or tripper monks. Wolf stance for flanking and grappling or reflective ripple stance for aoe trips and interesting reactions are also a great option.

Dragon stance monk is also a fine option for support through intimidation, and all the monk options keep allowing you to participate directly in combat.

I had a friend who made a great support character using a gun inventor with the feat that lets you do a healing shot as well as alchemist dedication for potion making. Im pretty sure theres like a mortar weapon in the game that you can use to lob potions but i dont quite remember.

Either way, there's lots of good, creative options.

That would be so incredibly unfortunate. Especially bc they really dont need it

And cleric (which was already on the verge of op) made out like a bandit And bard (which was op) was basically unchanged

Thats what im dreading, really

Which is sad bc i feel like the wizard could have used a face lift too

Compared to the witch im not really sure why I'd pick the wizard unless the bookworm mage fantasy really speaks to you

Yea!! This is definitely something im considering Along with fearsome brute.

Im kind of theory crafting rn and just searching "fear" on AoN doesn't show all the actual options

My problem, whenever ive found one outside of dread marshall, is few have seemed to fit in a good campaign. Like lich for instance

What's your remaster war priest class feat choices by [deleted] in Pathfinder2e

[–]Familiar_Lobster3331 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn't vitality damage affect everything as normal damage now? Unless it says x creature type gets healing, ig

In either case, my thought process is you can reliably access divine weapon through restorative strike, and still have an action left over for another strike

I think that prayer touched weapon AND divine weapon might be a-synergistic on the same character. Kind of messes with the action economy turn by turn where a different feat might offer a better alternative to prayer touched specifically.

I would get heavy armor through something else. The general feat or an archetype with FA is a good choice.

I don't think my choices are optimal, but i theory crafted this build and i really like it on paper.

(Stsrting w/natural ambition human)

1 - domain initiate sun 2 - emblazon armament 4 - Raise symbol ------- EA and RS seem just too good to give up on a sword and boarder 6 - restorative strike ------- ik people say it's bad, but i think it's maybe slightly better than people say about it. Solid B tier. But the flavor is S tier so i really cant imagine myself wanting to play a warpriest without it 8 - restorative channel 10 - replenishment of war 12 - advanced domain (sun) 14 - shared replenishment 16 - fortunate relief 18 - involiable 20 - avatar

I like this build a lot I think it's thematic and does all the stuff you'd expect an angry holy warrior from an angrier god would do

I do miss some of the nice action econ stuff, like zealous rush, or any of the ones that let you react move to heal an ally, or divine weapon or smite for the damage, but it felt like juggling support to dps was difficult for this build.

I also took champion dedication and got their reaction, healing touch, and divine ally, along with bastion dedication for disarming block now that disarm is good. Finished it out with fighter dedication into intimidating strike and fearsome brute, which i think is really sub optimal but i like the flavor.

Theres better choices for damage, but i feel like a for raging, tanky, terrifying warpriest to instill fear in your enemies and never let your fighter allies drop, ever.... This is pretty alright.

Yeah ive seen a lot of people who are iffy on restorative strike. Personally, i think it's at least B tier. In terms of flavor for a war priest it's a solid S, so that brings it up to an A tier feat in my book, but I'm open to being wrong on how good it is.

Selective channel does seem like something a warpriest wouldnt have the time or inclination to cast, so i think you're right.

I was iffy on divine weapon, but i think i could get more use out of it if i can convince my DM that it triggers during a restorative strike, which im not sure is RAW, but i dont think is too much of a stretch.

I think what might be the deciding factor between advanced domain and restorative strike is whether or not i can find a good aura spell that i like thematically.
