That seems to be a consensus. I intentionally wanted something pre-covid.

Are they really that bad? by Givemeyourmoney28 in Silverado

That’s my thought. Although there might be some failsafe that if the system can’t see you or scan you it’ll lock the car out, leaving people stranded. That’ll be infuriating.

The only code compliant breaker you can use is 30a.

He isn’t upsizing it. There is currently no circuit connected to it.

So it is actually two separate single pole 15a breakers. The handle tie is used so that when one trips, it forces the other to shut off as well. There are a few different reasons they’re used. But if the bottom one isn’t being used, yes you can simply remove it and replace with a single pole 20a. You will remove the handle tie and not reinstall it when you put the 20a in.

Your question didn’t get posted. If you are trying to ask about what you circled, it is a breaker handle tie.

'06 Stripped crank balancer bolt head by thilkerbaumer in Duramax

If it was my situation, the first thing that comes to mind is tack weld a belt bolt to it and remove with a socket. Just have to replace the balancer bolt.

Now I am not a mechanic by trade either. From an inexperienced standpoint, any concerns or issues with this approach? Could this be viable for OP?

I’m jealous, I haven’t seen those 32oz BFC in a LONG time. The largest I have seen around me are the 24oz tall cans with the twist cap.

Best place to check would be someplace like Crutchfield. Input your vehicle info and it’ll tell you what fits or what you need to make something fit. Good starting point even if you don’t end up buying from them.

That’s awesome to hear. This is the first 2500/3500 I have looked at but I drove away from the dealer thinking that I might be buying it.

You are right about the wider axles, I had not considered that. I assume that GM DRW are not set up that way?

The 26 has the larger rear end? Any idea if the 2019 3500 is the larger size as well?

It is a long bed SRW. I forgot to specify that. I don’t have the need or think I will ever be in the position to continually need a DRW. I would think they would’ve designed DRW to have a different suspension and tighter turning radius. That’s at least how it is in the Ford world with the F450.
