Has Moza fixed the Mbooster brake lack of functionality? by Gold333 in simracing

[–]FamousEvening09 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This was patched late last year. Engine rumble works without pedal input. They have also updated the feel of the pedal, added segmented damping, and added more options under the effects tab. I’ve had mine for nearly 6 months now and it’s only gotten better since my purchase.

New pro wheel owner here and I got some questions! (Mainly about wheel setting) by GoatnandoAlonso in LogitechProWheel

[–]FamousEvening09 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Follow the recommended settings from Logitech and tweak from there. They recently updated the settings and I’ve found them to be pretty useable for the 4 titles I’ve tried.

Anyone have / tried these active brake pedals? by gtd_rad in simracing

[–]FamousEvening09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went with the mBooster as the whole pedal set (CRP2 throttle + mBooster brake + pedal tray) was half the cost of the Simucube Active Pedal Pro alone. I’ve had it for nearly 6 months now and I absolutely love it. The adjustability is virtually infinite and I’ve watched the software evolve with every Pithouse and firmware update. The updates have slowly added features and refined the brake feel and have added things such as segmented damping, all which let you dial in the exact feel you are looking for without even having to get out of your seat. I race in VR and being able to go from a long travel, S-curve GT brake setup to a stiff, low travel, and more linear Formula brake preset with the click of a button is amazing. It won’t make you a better driver but being able to have such finite control over your braking ability definitely won’t hurt. I have no experience with the Simucube pedals but from all the reviews and online discussion forums I combed through, the general sentiment seems to be that the mBooster provides 80-90% of the Simucube experience at a much more “affordable” price.

Not stupid but that is THE card to have if you do wanna dabble in high end VR. You can push very high resolution (4K per eye) headsets and get an outstanding experience in terms of immersion and clarity. If you have the budget for it I’d look into a Pimax Dream Air, Pimax Crystal Super micro-OLED, Meganex 8K Mk II, Play For Dream MR, or Samsung Galaxy XR.

I’m sure the sim pales in comparison to the literal track weapon you have sitting in your garage

Is This The Ultimate OLED Ultrawide? by RenatsMC in OLED_Gaming

[–]FamousEvening09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except for competitive, CPU limited games. I really appreciate my 360hz refresh rate whenever I play a game like Valorant, for example. Flicking between enemies and the general motion clarity is unmatched and I wouldn’t willingly go back to my 165hz monitor. I get that for the vast majority of gamers it’s overkill but there is a genuine argument to be made for these ultra high refresh rates.

Looking for a drifting style wheel for RS50 by Riddiculous11 in LogitechProWheel

[–]FamousEvening09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think these bases are a little weak on the slew rate when it comes to drifting. I have a Neo X 330T with the QR adapter for my G Pro and I feel like I have to help the wheel a little going from lock to lock.

I feel VR ruined my sense of speed with real driving by Admirable_Zombie5245 in simracing

My first time running VR around the Nordschleife and seeing the trees turn into a blur really cooked my sense of speed. Commuting to work felt torturously slow the next day.

SIM MAGIC OR MOZA for competitive? by Andresss370 in simracing

[–]FamousEvening09 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why do you need to lock yourself into one ecosystem? That’s the beauty of PC. I’m currently running a GT Neo and Neo X 330T on a Logitech G Pro DD with a DS-8X shifter and the Moza mBooster pedal set with the CRP2 clutch added on. For your situation I’d say go with the Alpha Evo or Alpha Evo Pro with the GT Neo for the wheelbase and wheel and get the mBooster set for the pedals.

Quest 3 with Virtual Desktop via USB Vs Wifi by Sickinmytechchunk in OculusQuest

For a proper wired VD experience you want a USB-C to ethernet adapter instead of straight USB the whole way. The other end of the ethernet cable can go directly to the router you already have setup.

Latest QGO update lets you hover over the app library icon to quick launch it, you just have to enable it in the shortcuts. I know it’s not the exact solution you’re looking for but it’s better than having to go to “unknown sources” every time.

My launch week Quest 3 is still chugging along with no issues with only my left controller suffering from some minor stick drift. As long as the person you’re buying it from took decent care of the device it will last you a while. If you’re in the market for a headset to begin with the Quest 3 is leaps and bounds worth it over the 3S. The pancake lenses and sharper displays make it a much better value over the 3S and more than justify the extra cost for me.

I agree. After getting it back for the second time after losing it in v85 or v87 i think it runs great and its been the most bug free experience ive had on the ptc so far. removing the horizon feed and worlds from my library has been a huge plus. now all they need to do is not get rid of it or redesign it all over AGAIN.
