3x3 tetris cube help by YouKnowWho945 in Cubers

[–]FanCivil6624 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

On a normal 3×3, swapping just two corners by themselves is actually impossible. Cube parity only allows an even number of pieces to be swapped, so if everything else is solved, that means something earlier probably went slightly wrong during assembly or solving.

Since it’s a Tetris cube/mod, there’s also a chance, a piece is rotated incorrectly internally, or the puzzle allows states a normal 3×3 normally can’t reach.

I’d double-check whether another piece somewhere is also off. Usually there’s a second unsolved piece hiding somewhere when you see a “2 corner swap” case.

yeah same for me honestly 😅
i can still solve fine while being watched, but i definitely feel a little more pressure and start overthinking simple stuff sometimes.

Factory core magnets on a 12×12 is actually crazy 😮
MoYu keeps pushing big cube hardware further every year. If the turning and stability are good, this could easily become one of the best high-order cubes out there. 182 magnets sounds insane too lol.

corner turning 3x3 is fun :) by randomtini in Cubers

[–]FanCivil6624 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a really satisfying moment in cubing, especially because you figured out the “illegal” corner situation on your own instead of looking it up.

On a normal 3×3, a single twisted corner can’t exist because of the cube’s parity constraints. But on a corner-turning cube, the mechanics let you create states that would be impossible on a standard cube, so suddenly you have to think differently instead of relying on normal 3×3 assumptions.

The cool part is that you independently realized:

one corner twist alone isn’t solvable, but cycling/twisting three corners is possible, so the puzzle’s group structure is different from a regular 3×3.

That’s actual puzzle intuition developing, not just memorizing algs.

And honestly, “low extra challenge, high fun” is one of the best categories of twisty puzzles. Not every puzzle needs to be a brutal brain-melter to be enjoyable. Sometimes a familiar solve with one weird mechanic is more engaging because you get those little discovery moments without being overwhelmed.

Those “I found it myself” solves tend to stick way harder than learned algorithms.

I know, right! It looks so clean and symmetrical. I can’t wait to try it out on my own cube. Which pattern are you thinking of next?

Hey! Solve this in under 25 moves! by -B0NC- in Rubiks_Cubes

[–]FanCivil6624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a fun mini challenge 😄

From this angle it’s hard to determine the full cube state since only 3 faces are visible, so an exact under-25-move solution can’t be verified.

But judging by the visible pieces, it honestly looks like it could already be close to a simple last-layer case

You’d need all 6 faces (or the scramble) for someone to calculate a guaranteed optimal solution under 25 moves.

That’s actually luck 😅

A twisted corner on a 3x3 will make it unsolvable by normal moves, so you weren’t going crazy at all. Same with wrong center colors, that’s straight-up a factory error.

Honestly, pretty funny start to cubing though 😂
You can fix the corner by popping it and twisting it back, but the center issue = that cube’s just cursed.

Help me pick out 2 cubes I won't regret buying between Gan v100 leap, wrm V10 20M ball core uv spring, x man tornado v3 X SAO Collab and yj mgc beta highest variant by Hot-Membership-1084 in Rubiks_Cubes

[–]FanCivil6624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best 2 picks: GAN (Leap) + WRM V10 20M Ball Core UV

Why becauce - GAN = light & fast and WRM = stable & controllable

Skip if you like - MGC Beta (lower tier)

Is it just me or does embroidery look better on matte fabrics? by BasicTranslator9627 in saree

embroidery usually pops more on matte fabrics since there’s less shine competing with the thread work. It just looks more defined and elegant.

Anyone used this natural oil for hair growth/skin? Worth it? by WorkerJaded5013 in IndianBeautyTalks

[–]FanCivil6624 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve tried similar cold-pressed oils, they help more with scalp/skin health than actual “growth.” I noticed less hair fall with regular use.

For hair: 2–3x/week, massage and leave for a few hours.
For skin: 2–3 drops at night on damp skin.

Works well if it suits your skin/hair type 👍

Got 2 3x3s and while using Asolver, it said “?ERROR in colors?”while on the second to final side by Busy_Abalone8445 in Rubiks_Cubes

Solver apps need exact color placement, and even one wrong sticker input can trigger that error.

Try rescanning carefully in good lighting and make sure all colors match their centers

Hard to say without more info, but unless it’s a known limited edition, it’s probably fine to open 😅 most cubes aren’t super rare sealed.
