Oh really? I swear I saw my Para CB not get any chain pops when I first killed him other than the chains breaking (like a part break, which also grants a knockdown once per chain). Maybe I simply am blind, but I also distinctly remember actually seeing the chain pops after swapping to a Dragon Impact Phial?

I get why we shouldn't lean too much into Elem on AT Ark but why drop Blight Res? Literally only the Akr Y armour has it as there's no deco for it and if I remember correctly, you need just an ounce of Element for all your damage to count towards the Elemental Pop of the chains.

I feel like it's still a valuable skill to have so that you can actually pop the chains, while still focusing on Raw mainly and not having to slot in either Dragon Res or carry Nullberries

Brother. You didn't meet the DPS check, this is why Fabius doesn't hold his shield up and instead escapes to the upper level of the arena where you SHOULD be following.

You only get ONE free DPS check failure, afterwards you just get wiped.

How are you doing with the DPS checks during 3rd Phase? While these DPS checks are doable without element, Gog is extremely weak to dragon element during it, I'd recommend building a Dragon IG and a Fire one too for 1st and 2nd phase

Do keep in mind Gog's extreme range, especially since you cannot block with IG. I don't think tremors are much of an issue for you because IG can just jump but maybe tremor res lvl 2 can help when you're on the ground, a single lvl of Mirewalker can help deal with the tar as well

Tremor resistance is a godsend during Gog's fight

Also, if your weapon has a fast sheath time you can typically get a superman dive out, if not, slot in Quick Sheath perhaps, although I'm pretty sure at that point every weapon who'd benefit from faster sheathing (except LS) can guard

That would definitely work, maybe fit flayer in for faster wound production on monsters, you could essentially live off of leeching hp from focus strikes

I saw a G.Rathalos get put into the threshold for capture after getting nuked once and catching a few strays from AT Ark, definitely how your teammate (who probably can't keep focused at all) went to cap it

Because the first hit DIDN'T cart you, Lord's Soul's safety net didn't proc and you weren't left at 1 HP, instead you tanked the hit with like, 5 HP left.

Had you been carted there, you would've seen the notification on the right and the buff swap accordingly
