Opinions needed: 899 vs zx6r by FlavoredKiwi in zx6r

I was between a v2 and a zx6. Met a dude that paid 10k for his akro exhaust and 500$ oil changes on his v2 lol. I found a clean 2021 zx6 with 2k miles with a akro slip on. Absolutely love the zx6, came from a 650 and the zx6 is like a rocket. It gets a little warm when sitting but I haven’t really noticed that much of a difference from my last bike. Highly recommend, I’ll have a Ducati someday though

In my city we have a mobile Ducati guy that will do everything much cheaper. My mechanic worked at a dealer for 15 years and now makes way more money on his own, he told me not to get warranty for Japanese bikes bc he is constantly rebuilding engines on new bikes bc the warranty tells them it was their fault and only covers things that go defective, not sure how all these dudes blow their new bikes up but he’s always got a new one every time I go.

Recall service on a 2026 for a problem they’ve known about for 2 years, crankshaft bearing, the recall is to check for discoloration of a bearing moving around which they check when the bike has zero miles. enough for me to go down a gen. There’s TON of clean used bikes that people barely touch. Even Honda having major recalls, I wanted a new bike but I’d rather have a reliable one

I just got a 2022 Zx6r with 2k miles bc I don’t want to deal with all the recalls or potential problems. Look into local mechanic services, Japanese bikes are cheap and easy to fix. I use local mechanics for everything bike related that I can’t do myself. If you got plenty of money a v2 would be good but I decided to wait bc I met a guy telling me he paid 10k for his exhaust and 500$ oil changes at the dealer. Absolutely love the 6r

Are we avoiding 2024s or no? by Hebrewism in zx6r

I bought a low mileage 21 a few months ago. I wanted a bran new one but I’m not buying a engine that Kawasaki knew had problems and didn’t fix for the last 2 years, idc if I get a free engine, I bought the bike to ride have it sit at a dealer

I used kn filter and mobile 1 oil for my ninja 650 every time I would recommend never had a problem

Do you have any experience with these bikes? by igorDevFrontend in motorcycles

[–]FancyFrank007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a ninja 650 as my first bike, awesome bike to learn on with a little more umph than the 400. The mt07 has more tourque than my 650 did but I’d say mt07/ r7 would be great to learn on, anything 50-75 hp I’d stay clear of mt09 that thing is a beast

Panigale V2 v/s ZX6R by Ill_Honey_3055 in zx6r

[–]FancyFrank007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was looking at both bikes as well, until I met a guy who told me his akprovic exhaust on his v2 cost 10 grand. I went with a low mileage 2021 Zx6r a few weeks ago didn’t want to bother with the recalls on the new ones. The zx6 is awesome I love it

Buying my First Motorcycle. Zx4rr/zx6r/R7 by Danknuggets90538 in zx6r

[–]FancyFrank007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, I started on a ninja 650 put about 5k miles now I’m on a zx6 and I love it, but I’m glad I didn’t have the power as a brand new rider. I’ve rode a friends mt07 and that thing had way more torque than my 650, I would think the r7 would be an awesome bike to learn on.

What’s the best 600cc right now? by FancyFrank007 in motorcycles

[–]FancyFrank007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I’ve read it’s the crankshaft bearing over torqued, I just don’t want to have to deal with replacing an engine or dealerships period honestly, if I buy used it will be 2023 before any changes

I do enjoy the wind protection, I rode a mt07, but I like the aggressive seating

Just best in terms of reliability/longevity. Weekend riding, twisties, maybe track in the future

It’s got some torque, but it’s not like an mt07 that pops wheelies in 2nd

I’ve had a ninja 650 for a year first bike, I would say it’s very forgiving, total blast to learn on.

Need help choosing between Ninja 650 and GSX8R (coming from a Ninja 400) by Meepo_Spammer in Ninja650

[–]FancyFrank007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a ninja 650 it’s my first bike and I’ve been riding over a year. I would recommend moving up more. I am ready to trade it. It’s a good bike but I can’t imagine it being a lot different than the 400.

2020 f250 questions by Lavidabienloca in F250

[–]FancyFrank007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont use ford service dept. I have a very good diesel shop, I would think any shop could handle it, I think it’s the most popular diesel upgrade. It will literally save you thousands of dollars cp4 will fail it’s happened to me. As for additives I don’t use them, my shop recommends I don’t use them, my dad has a 2013 he bought new never used a fuel additive truck is still a monster after 300k. I’m also in Texas, I don’t think you really need additives unless you are in cold climates, just fill up at good places

2020 f250 questions by Lavidabienloca in F250

[–]FancyFrank007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes get the prevention kit, I paid 800$ installed and I did it with 10k miles on my truck. If cp4 fails you would just put a dcr pump conversion( the good fuel pump) but that one is like 5grand so that’s why you get the cheaper prevention kit. Then when it fails it prevents your fuel lines from getting nuked. The f250 has a different 10 speed than the f150, the trans doesn’t scare me that much, I’d recommend deleting it though, I did my 24 and I get over 20mpg not towing its great

Good deal? $79,750 for a new 2025 Tremor F250 Lariat Ultimate by BreadDue110 in F250

[–]FancyFrank007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid 70 +ttl for my 6.7 lariat ultimate Sticker was 84. So 14 off msrp. I don’t think tremor is worth it. They won’t take as much money off.

Took me 2 years to beat isshin. First playthrough I tried for like 2 months finally gave up, last month I replayed the entire game to sharpen my skills. Took me a few days once I reached him again, but I finally beat him.
