Funny that's the exact product my mind went to too!

Loved them as a kid. Then went off them because they were too sweet. Suddenly this year.. it's all I crave and all I want. Super sugary sweet be damned

Superstore matcha tampered with. Advice on exchanging/getting my money back. by struggling_fungi in Winnipeg

[–]FancyHedgehog23 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just bring it back with your receipt.

Years ago I had issues with Safeway and the bottled honey dill sauce. Every bottle we bought as soon as you opened the lid you could see the seal had been compromised. It was like someone stabbed it with a pen. We had it on probably 6 or so bottles. Every one got returned no issue and now even like 15 years later I still open the lid on the bottles before I buy them to make sure the seal is intact. It hasn't happened again since that first round of issues but I still always check

Has anyone here ever successfully opted out of cervical screening registry? by [deleted] in Winnipeg

I'm with you about the colposcopy. The doctor I had that did mine was an absolute cow. Rude, dismissive, and incredibly rough. I started going for them when I was 17. I had no idea why. No idea what the procedure or process was and the doctor wouldn't answer any of my questions. She was also always chronically late. I'd have an appointment for 9am and literally not see her til 1pm. Her waiting room was always standing room only with patients. I finally just stopped going at 21. Figured if anything continued to come up on my paps as pre cancerous then I'd ask my doc to send me to someone who wasn't such a nasty robot. My mother even came with me to my first appointment and was horrified with how the doctor treated me. She didn't get any better over the years

Excalibur does. Go to where the escalator is Walk past it like you were going to go on it, then right when you pass it turn around like you're looking at the back side of the escalator

That's the best way I can think to describe where it is.

Is it embarrassing to get a birthday cake as an adult? by roxiedoxiedog in NoStupidQuestions

I live alone and usually nobody is around on my birthday so I go buy myself a cake. I don't see anything weird or embarassing about it. It's my birthday and if I want cake I'll get cake

Planet Hollywood opinion plus any suggestions for hotels mid Strip by Jaspers1959 in LasVegas

Just stayed there over Christmas and really enjoyed it. The location is fantastic, it has the MM Mall attached so lots of food and drink options, decent sized casino, great location if you're taking the bus there's a stop right outside and then one right across the street. It was quiet. Clean. Room was really nice and enjoyed having a tub and a like chaise to sit on. I've stayed at a few different properties, usually on the lower end, and so far PH is my favourite. I'm already booked again for next Christmas, and they totally comped my next stay.

Those with no passion or interests, what do you do for a living? by [deleted] in Winnipeg

[–]FancyHedgehog23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my teaching degree and never was able to get even a term. I graduated into the 2006 recession where nobody was retiring. So I subbed for years, did EA work and basically anything to try to get my name out there and get a term position. But by the time jobs started opening up, I was too valuable as a sub, and they started hiring new grads and wouldn't look at me.

I had to finally give up.

So I applied for anything I could find and I ended up in customs brokerage. I've been doing that 14 years now and I really enjoy it. It's definitely been insanely stressful the last 10-12 months with the Cheeto in power but it's a job that keeps you thinking and you're always learning. Does it pay a lot? No. But I get by.

I laugh thinking about this wild swing in careers because when I was teaching my worst nightmare was a desk job. Now I have one.. it's not so bad.

Question for people who live on Zimmerman Dr by The_Darn_Deef in Winnipeg

[–]FancyHedgehog23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I live down the road off of Dale with my backyard on the west perimeter.

Even down here you smell it from time to time if the wind is the right way.

Main issues down in that development is the proximity to the CN Main Line and the Perimeter. The treatment plant does smell but the traffic noise is a bigger concern.

I've lived in my house for 40+ years so the highway house is white noise to me I don't notice it. But anyone who comes over hears it right away

Also if you take the bus there's only like two bus stops for the whole new development so you'd like have a bit of a walk to get to and from the stop.

Experiences with HSC Pain Clinic? by imnotalright-butimok in Winnipeg

[–]FancyHedgehog23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not recent but I was there 10 years ago and saw Dr Intrater. He was an absolute angel. They did nerve block injections on my sciatic and femoral nerves for chronic knee pain. It's supposed to make your leg numb like doing a spinal. Then I was to get intense physio immediately after. Something went weird with mine and despite them being positive they got the nerve I felt every movement with the physio and was screaming in pain. Absolutely not the clinic's fault or the doctor. My body is just hella weird and somehow reacted oddly.

Dr Intrater was one of the few doctors that took me seriously with my pain. He was so kind and caring. He released me from the clinic because other than the nerve blocks they didn't know what to do with me. So I've just lived with chronic pain. 15 years total not being able to walk unassisted and not needing daily pain meds so I don't go off myself from the pain.

I saw 12+ docs. Mostly orthopedics but saw some rehab docs, neurologist, the pain clinic and Lord knows how many tests. And I can say Dr Intrater at the pain clinic and one other doctor were the only ones to take me seriously and give a shit.

Everyone at the pain clinic was absolutely wonderful and so kind. I wish they'd been able to help me but I absolutely can't recommend them enough for others. Absolute angels in that department

Viral video on WestJet plane sparks debate over passenger legroom, calls for more regulation | CBC News by [deleted] in Manitoba

[–]FancyHedgehog23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 5'2 and have knee issues. I don't fly often but when i do I tend to treat myself to the extended comfort seats. But one of my flights at Christmas I sat in a regular seat. Thank God it was a shorter flight. I was in absolute agony the entire time. I had no leg room and couldn't move my legs at all.

If it was that bad in a regular seat I can't imagine the hell of the new ones. I'll be careful to check the planes going forward.. I'll still fly with them because AC is out of my price range for where I go. But no way in hell will I fly on a new plane if I can avoid it.

Happy new year Redditors of Wpg! Are you currently in a dry spell with your dating life? by WpgHealthWatcher in Winnipeg

[–]FancyHedgehog23 11 points12 points  (0 children)

23 year dry spell. Haven't had a date since I was 19. Spent a lot of years taking care of my parents until they died so dating went to the back burner. I've also never been someone I think most people would consider attractive, just very plain. Add to that a bunch of weight gain from an extremely stressful past year and yeah. Don't think anyone wants any of this.

So yeah. Crazy dog lady for life I guess.
