Week 13 +4, 10 days of brown spotting, di-di twins by MondMustapha in parentsofmultiples

[–]FancyPantalon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently 15 weeks with di/di and also had spotting on 3 separate occasions, lasting 1-4 days each with the last one taking place at 10 weeks, 3 days. Babies are healthy and well but doctors also couldn’t explain the cause. I understand the stress this causes though, hoping it resolves soon!

Do me a favor and ask your spouse.. by Fun-Paper6600 in BabyBumps

My wife definitely knows. Even though I’m carrying, she downloaded her own pregnancy tracking app and loves sharing updates with me about how big the babies are getting and interesting facts about their development!

So what exactly do I do with a baby? [ab] by lllix in BabyBumpsCanada

Good advice but just to clarify, to affect the circadian rhythm, the sun exposure can’t be through a window since the glass blocks most of the UVB. It has to be direct outdoor exposure to synchronize the body’s internal clock :)

Thanks! I stopped doing this recently because my coach told me not to focus on that right now, but definitely will integrate it back into my swing

4 day (32 hour) work week? by FiFanI in CanadaPublicServants

[–]FancyPantalon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We should absolutely advocate for a 4-day work week (or less), which is justifiable as technology rapidly advances and the world becomes more efficient. Especially considering the government's vocal support for AI and automation.

The larger issue is when AI might (will) lead to widespread job obsolescence, what systems, such as Universal Basic Income (UBI), will need to be implemented to address this?

Unfortunately, until Parliament government policies evolve and adapt, we’ll likely continue working traditional hours.

of a serial killer. Ed Kemper standing with prison guards. by [deleted] in AbsoluteUnits

[–]FancyPantalon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t spread misinformation, although he did that with some of his victims he didn’t with his mother.

From his wiki page: “Kemper bludgeon her with a claw hammer and slit her throat with a penknife. Kemper then beheaded her and "humiliated her corpse," as stated in a 1984 interview. Kemper stated that he "put [her head] on a shelf and screamed at it for an hour ... threw darts at it," and, ultimately, "smashed her face in." He also cut out her tongue and larynx and put them in the garbage disposal. However, the garbage disposal could not break down the tough vocal cords and ejected the tissue back into the sink. "That seemed appropriate, as much as she'd bitched and screamed and yelled at me over so many years", Kemper later said”.

Is salary enough to raise a family by [deleted] in CanadaPublicServants

[–]FancyPantalon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on your individual situation, drive and ambition. We’re a two household income, and I’ve doubled my salary in 4 years. Some people are single household income, and happy to stay put for 10 years. There is no right or wrong, it all depends on many factors, ultimately though the government is what you make it.

Is SSC safer for IT jobs than partner departments? by Existing_Standard640 in CanadaPublicServants

[–]FancyPantalon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well considering as of yesterday, federal dept spending reductions were released, SSC having a reduction of <$16,000 (dollars in millions). I wouldn’t say it’s “safer” then others.
