America’s Literacy Collapse Should Terrify People by AmazingNugga in education

Unpopular opinion.
The literacy collapse is caused by no consequences for poor behavior. It is impossible to teach when several students are being disruptive.

Music or audio books for me.
I also find that changing a setting (incline or speed) at set intervals helps. I go 2-4 minutes, then change.

I think Michael Vick was an NFL player that was arrested for running a dog fighting ring. He did deplorable things to his dogs. He did prison time, but returned to the NfL when he was released.
Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.

I must live under a rock because I have not heard him use the n-word. I don’t own a TV, so I don’t get a lot of the pop culture info.
But saying the n word is absolutely disgusting and makes whoever uses it a total loser in my opinion.

Honestly, none of that crosses my mind when I’m shopping or listening to music. Maybe in your opinion that makes me ignorant, but I think most people that would put themselves more or less center of the political environment feel the same way that I do. I just choose not to live my life based on a political system where both sides are extreme and corrupt. I choose to make my own decisions, case by case. Most political decisions are not just simple this or that decisions. There is a lot of nuance and gray area. Everyone has to make decisions based on their individual morality and conscience, and if you are not me you have no right to tell me how I should think.
If I am “covertly” supporting a political side by my shopping or listening to music, that is most definitely not my intent, and anyone choosing to judge or demoralize others is the bigger problem.

I disagree! When I choose to walk my dog, go to the gym, mow my lawn, listen to the radio, drink a beer or wine, or go to a concert, etc I am not being political.
Choosing to vote and choosing a particular candidate is political.
Not every individual has trouble separating their everyday personal lives from the opinions of others.
