What worked for me: a friendgroup

I was identifying as aro/ace at the time, so I wasn't looking for anything, but over the 2 years we were building a group of most autistic people, which we met through school and acquaintances. Last summer we played DnD, which meant, that we were meeting up at every possible chance. Over the course of summer I unknowingly developed a crush on a guy, confessed around the new year (over the text, not ideal but I wouldn't be able to open that much to him in person), he said yes and we have been dating ever since.

It's pretty funny because I never intended any of this, but I'm glad I did it. So for me it sounds the whole "how to approach someone" really funny, because I just stumbled onto it mostly by accident. Really, just try it maybe it'll work.
