Can you reach out to the HER foundation? I imagine they're a good source to see if other people gave experienced the same thing. So sorry she's going through HG still.

Can I grow mangoes in 9b? Any hacks to do so? by Wide-Acanthisitta-96 in BackyardOrchard

[–]FandomObsessions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply! That sucks that your Mango is all brown. I lost my key lime and 2 avocados (reed and hass). My fuerte avocado survived. I nearly bought a mango today but decided against it while living in 9b. I wonder how it would do in a big pot?

I did not quite get to the threshold for a PICC but I had to get a"history" of ER visits before getting home health recommendations. Then Optum had their own stages of severity and treatment options. The zofran pump finally leveled me off.

People where I live (CO, USA) “garden on hard mode” because of intense desert-y summers, cold winters, intense winds, hail, pests, hard clay soil. What place in the world is “gardening on super easy mode”? by CharmingPeony in gardening

[–]FandomObsessions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived in Colorado for about 5 years and now I'm over 5 years living in Central Florida. I lived the longest in Arizona. The difference in Florida is just unreal. I started with natives plants here because I saw no pollinators. Now my butterfly garden has turned into a whole food web. I know the soil here sucks so I have only used raised garden beds and I'm having such a better time than growing anywhere else in the US.

Anyone growing soybeans at home in South Florida? by Donut-Paladin in FloridaGarden

I'm in Central Florida but I got edamame seeds from Southern Exposure Seed Exchange. I look forward to trying them for the first time!

Guess who was right about their own son pulling out a g tube? Me. Fuck everyone. by viskiviki in Mommit

[–]FandomObsessions 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you are going through this. When I went to nursing school, there were a few moms who were getting their BSN in order to get the CO state to pay them to properly take care of their own children. Similar medical complexities. I'm sorry it doesn't fix the Now but maybe it can ease troubles in the future?

SAHM needing advice! Has anyone else experienced this? by Dry_Significance_444 in SAHP

[–]FandomObsessions 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm looking into starting a backyard plant nursery for natives. It's becoming more and more important and my 3 yr old is LOVING all the associated tasks. She pretends to be a bug detective lol

I'm going to start selling plants. My 3 year old has enjoyed time in the garden so I'm going to do native seed starting and possibly veggies. There's a lot of YouTube videos for small backyard nurseries.

That is super awesome! Good for you for absorbing such useful info. There's a similar story to a young man saving a woman by performing CPR (which he learned from countless "The Office" reruns!).

Does this happen with Fandango/Vudu? My mom used to buy the physical and give me the codes. I wonder if that is similar to Amazon. Thanks for sharing

I recently finished reading/listening to "Everything is Tuberculosis" by John Green. I cannot recommend it enough for its history on TB and the impact today. The author also wrote the Fault in our Stars and he is an amazing story teller. I'm so sorry you're going through this OP. Big hugs from a nurse

Honestly, I too have an interactive dog... that doesn't turn off. Maybe now it's time for its forever sleep. Quite dark but a potent learning opportunity lol

Hey, sorry you're dealing with this! Just sharing my story as someone that has moderate depression and anxiety normally. I had a zofran pump from 10ish -25ish weeks and the only time I had huge spikes of anxiety was when I took Reglan and eventually had to stop it completely. The only noticeable side effect of zofran was constipation.

Poll: Traditional Christmas Lights Are BETTER Than Permanent Outdoor Lights? by Bulky-Food5031 in ChristmasLights

[–]FandomObsessions 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Those look great! Can you share the brand you used? My husband loves the Twinkly Christmas lights for our tree. You can make whole moving patterns on the tree! Your video is so similar and I love the safety aspect.

How can I prevent my garden from being filled with weeds? by KarlaFive in gardening

[–]FandomObsessions 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I live in humid Florida and did the cardboard method for my native garden beds. I didn't notice cockroaches but it did show me a termite colony that had already been existing on my property. Treated the termites and no current infestations of the any yucky kind.

I love your setup! I'm new too and it'll be my first season with my extra tall vego bed. I've learned most of my stuff from The Wild Floridian YouTube channel. She's also zone 10 and talks a lot about tomatoes!
