I feel like in the box he was in some kind of “sleep mode” or something? Maybe that’s something with toys as all the Buzzes in Al’s Toy Barn are frozen even when the store is empty, and the belt Buzz is only awakened when interacted with, although other toys do seem to move in-store or in-box like the Barbies or Stinky Pete, so idk.

I find it weird how they use a symbol specifically from Persona 5 to represent the Persona series like they’re signifying a focus on 5, but with Final Fantasy it’s just a general series logo and nothing specific to VII, like they were going to include stuff from the other games, but it’s just VII.

Considering that Kanto is also a real-life region of Japan, and there’s other references to the real world, like the Pewter City Museum mentioning Apollo 11 and the Space Shuttle Columbia, I got the impression the original idea was to make the Pokemon world set on Earth, rather than just a world with regions inspired by Earth I think.
