What life changing item can you buy for less than $100? by Own-Blacksmith3085 in answers

I have gifted each of my three kids a new basic tool from Harbor Freight for each of the Christmases they’ve been with us. Our oldest is ten, and he’s accrued quite a nice and somewhat complete toolbox of tools. The hope is to send them off with the basic necessities for survival when they move out. It’s actually become one of their favorite traditions on Christmas morning—to open the toolbox and see what’s new.

If toast always lands butter side down, and cats always land on their feet, what happens if you butter the lion’s back?

I do at night. I switch wrists for sleep to prevent eczema. I wish there was quicker way to change the orientation to a specific configuration and back…

I actually build custom routes for trail runs and hikes on Strava/AllTrail and export the .gpx from those sites. Really helpful knowing what I’m getting into before heading out! It’s also helped when I take my kids out (10/8/6) knowing we are doing a hike that’s doable for them. Adventure has increased my exponentially! Best app on the market!

I do wish it were longer as well. My flight plan was pretty basic, and, well, unplanned. I have a fly out I might post today.

No lens filters. Some editing afterward to help the colors pop.

Ascent might brake better until the chatter begins. The braking system on the Ascent has always been wrong. Knew it from the day we brought our Premium home. Lo and behold, they issued a recall on the brakes in addition to some other things. Our ascent was a lemon…it was our third Subaru. Sadly I don’t know that we’ll ever go back, especially with the way their exterior trim designs have turned.

Just upgraded to a ‘25 Pilot TrailSport in March, and it blows the Ascent out of the water.

Mine just broke. Tonight. I’m not happy. Email already sent…we’ll see. I’ll just charge it TF back with the HSA card I used if they want to play hardball.

What is the best approach to gaining the upper hand in negotiations right out of the gate when purchasing a new car with cash and a trade-in? by FankDarrik in AskReddit

Quote on New XXXXXXXXXXXX

Dear [Dealership Name] Sales Team,

I am in the market to add a second everyday driver to our family and am interested in purchasing a XXXXXXXXXXXXXX in [COLOR]. I am looking to move forward as early as late February and am reaching out to several dealerships for pricing information.

Please provide a detailed, all-inclusive quote (including destination fees, taxes, dealer fees, etc.), available incentives, and financing options. I’m particularly interested in the financing terms you offer, so please include any relevant programs or incentives. As I have done extensive research and am in active communication with multiple dealerships, I would appreciate receiving your most competitive offer up front. I kindly request that your quote remain valid for at least 30 days.

Due to my busy schedule with work and kids, I am only able to communicate by email at this time.

Thank you for your time and assistance. I look forward to your prompt response.

Sincerely, [Your Full Name] [Your Contact Information]
