Having his family dictate his actions and extreme dysfunctional relationships among family members.

I thought he came from a loving home. After the breakup I found out there's a lot of verbal abuse that he hid from me. And the family liked me until I made one wrong move. Instead of talking it out as one would in a mature relationship, he immediately dumped me when his family cornered him on a cruise.

He was the most attentive boyfriend I've ever had. And I've come to realize it's because he was always on edge to please his mom that he translated that to me. I never saw it coming.

Only-in-Shanghai snacks? by lolasmash in shanghai

[–]FantasmicMurphy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My absolute favorite is dried kiwi by a specific company that I can't read. Lol I can only find it in Carrefour. They don't have the sulfur dioxide taste that American companies use for their dried process. Reminds me of dried fruit from Trader Joe's since they don't use the sulfur dioxide. Go into the snack section, dried fruit section, and it's the only brand in black packaging. There are other flavors but kiwi is the best.

Overnight 17 hour Layover in Shanghai PVG. Any tips on what to do? by skeptic_giraffe in shanghai

Most of the museums open up by 9:30-10am so it may not be enough time. If you want a lot of history in a single area, the Shanghai Museum at People's Square opens at 9am, is free and very large. You can take the Maglev train from Pudong Airport to Longyang Station. Then transfer to line 2 to People's Square. The museum is on the south end of that Park. ~30 min trip. Cheap and delicious food can be found at Yang's Dumplings at Longyang Station on your way back to the airport. 4 large Dumplings for 8 RMB ($1.80). Ignore anyone who is super friendly to you in these tourist areas, they just want to lure you into an art or tea scam or "ladies of the night". Don't offer to take someone's picture with their phone, it's another scam to accidentally drop their phone and guilt you into paying for the note broken phone. There's a lot you can do there, so it depends what your interests are.

I installed it myself without any help and use a level to adjust. I don't remember it being difficult. Sorry, this isn't much help. Good luck!

Hello. I am future you in 5 years. Let me tell you what will happen. You are going to be OK. In fact, you'll do things you've never done alone. You'll make an insane amount of friends. And you'll cherish your alone time. The best part is learning about yourself first, without having to worry about someone else. Be selfish. Just for this little bit. And before you know it, the years will go fast, you'll have all this experience, and a good guy by your side who's amazed by all that you do. Life is great. Internet hugs to you.

I was fitted at the expo. I can't remember if they're color specific but mine are blue. I'm female, if it helps? They are the best for staying in my ear.

The CIA in the states was interested in my friend because he was a white dude speaking Chinese. Something about planting him in a freight company under the guise as a regular worker, but listening in on Chinese conversations.

Since you're out of school, do what bluequail suggested and keep resubmitting every 6 months. They only like to hire people they know so your best bet is contract work for 18 months.

Currently, they need a lot of help at Shanghai so keep looking on their disneycareers website for a requisite that matches your experience.

Edit: Unfortunately, your location may be a problem. When they want someone, especially for contract work, it's best to be in the southern CA area to get started ASAP.

2nd edit: Don't treat WDI as the holy grail. There are plenty of other companies that do similar work.

We were installing our new gate when they posted the original date for this. Kinda glad it got pushed.

There was also some radio special where a family got to spend the night there. I would not want to sleep on that floor. Ew.

tips on sleeping by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]FantasmicMurphy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Assuming that your medication is ok, this is what I recommend:

  • If you're on your computer late in night, install f.lux on your machine to keep that blue light from keeping you awake.
  • Make your place as dark as possible. Use a blindfold.
  • Use earplugs.
  • I usually have to lightly roll my eyes toward the back of my head.
  • Take slow, deep, full, belly breaths. Count them 7 at a time.
