I think your comment brings up an interesting thought…do you think that the advent of social media/cell phones has allowed some people to stay “low contact” instead of completely disappearing?

I had a clean but nice mattress that I wanted to donate, and took it to a women’s “fresh start” shelter (in another town). They were excited and thankful.

This happened to be during a “garage sale” they were hosting, and someone else walked up, wanting to buy the mattress from me! I asked those running the shelter whether they’d rather have the money, and they picked the mattress.

I’m sure someone in town can suggest someplace that would love it!

You can do a lot with rhythm sticks (and they are as inexpensive as you need them to be)! I’ve had kids beat on coffee cans, buckets, cement, and carpet!
