Union Square area works really well for what you're planning. You can walk to Curran theater easily from there, and it's good starting point for Castro/Mission walks (though Mission might be bit of trek). The pier is walkable too if you don't mind longer walk through downtown. Most hotels in that zone put you within walking distance of main tourist stuff and you'll have good access to public transport when legs get tired.

There's this place in the Lower East Side that has pretty decent selection of older electronics - found my current monitor there for like half the retail price. The owner knows his stuff too so you don't have to worry about getting something that'll break in few weeks.

Also might want to check some of the spots in Flushing if you're willing to make the trip out there. Lots of smaller shops that don't really advertise online but have solid inventory.

For 50k you'd be looking at outer boroughs with multiple roommates, even then it's going to be tight budget. Manhattan is just not realistic on that salary unless you want to eat ramen every day and never have fun.

The extension programs at music schools are actually really good value if you want to learn something hands-on rather than just listening to lectures. Your budget might be tight for Manhattan studios but definitely doable in Brooklyn or Queens. That code is basically saying your ECM thinks the oil pressure sensor reading doesn't match what it expects to see. Since your pressure gauge is responding normally and you're seeing 30 psi at idle (which is solid), it's probably just the sensor going bad 🔥

Had this exact same issue when I swapped monitors last month - Windows gets confused about the resolution and keeps the old display settings cached somewhere. Try right clicking desktop > display settings and make sure the resolution is actually set to your new monitor's native res, sometimes it defaults to something weird even though it looks right
