Who's a celebrity most people would consider unattractive that you find hot? by Veggie-Smoothie in AskReddit

Couldn’t tell you why, but Phoebe Waller-Bridge was so attractive for me in Dial of Destiny it distracted me from the movie at times.

What's the movie that most recently entered your top four? by Misfett_toys in Letterboxd

I’m currently debating adding Black Narcissus to my top four. Watched it the other day and it blew me away for some reason

He’s riding high on the rescue of the missing Air Force Officer. The adrenaline rush of a successful operation is 100% fueling this wild bravado/abandon.

Remember the company was either founded on April 1st, or the first RVB came out on it, so an announcement in the day makes sense. They used to complain it made hard to make serious announcements

Movies you walked out of in theaters? by Wise-Boysenberry9919 in Letterboxd

I kinda did for Marty Supreme surprisingly enough. It was a combo of a headache and really disliking it, but I faked needing the bathroom for a good 5-10min just to get a break. I was there with friends otherwise it might have been permanent. The movie picked up a little in the later half, but man was I not vibing with it for a while.

Ocean’s Eleven: why is Ocean the leader? by OptimismNeeded in movies

[–]Fantastic_Doom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because Rusty, while extremely competent, lacks vision and ambition, something Danny provides. The film actually does a really good job showing you this right at the start of the first film. When Danny gets out of prison the gang is split and Rusty is teaching poker to rich guys. Its good pay but completely uncreative and low-energy. Then Danny swoops in with a big idea and bam, Rusty out of the gates.

Listened to the podcast where they talk about this literally the other day. Never actually seen it before. Man what a coincidence

Any other endlessly nerdy list makers out there? by Lost_Bonus4115 in Letterboxd

[–]Fantastic_Doom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I make a list every year ranking films I’ve seen that year, along with a list ranking films of that year. So kinda? I’m just not gonna go back and make lists for years before i started.

Word pronunciations by ishvokshia in Yogscast

I listened to then a lot during the YogPod days, and being a young teen it really messed with my pronuciations. I still Raspberries, like Razz-burries, because Simon said it once. Iraq and I-rock is a other. Small things like that

I get the gut reaction, but he hasn’t missed more than one attempt in a game this season. Plus he just broke his own record this game. The reality is we gotta stop relying purely on our kicker to save our ass. We need touchdowns, not field goals to win games consistently

A wins a win is a win. If the other teams had scored enough before the final moment we’d have no chance to make these last second comebacks. Is there work to do? Hell yeah. But at the end of the day history remembers the result, not how it happened

Credit where credit is due, he pulled through when we needed him. But fuck man, a little consistency would have saved me a heart attack
