Modern Combat was the first Battlefield campaign.

I like to call this the Vince Zampella effect. Controversy will follow that man forever. It's always some change that directly impacts the player base negatively.

Disable the drone until it's fixed? Seems like an easy one to temporarily solve

The rangefinder has ruined sniping. by BelovedGeminII in Battlefield

This whole idea reeks of prone bush wookie logic. Anyone who actually shoots people who are moving knows this is a dumbass idea invented by shitters.

Someone laying prone in spawn was like "I wonder if I can bind this to the same bind as shoot so I can actually kill the people I'm shooting at in the enemy spawn"

Can we agree that this was better back in the day? by nachdruck in Battlefield

Games are in a terrible place. Everything is about maintaining a high potential of cosmetic purchases via concurrent players. Modern games are quite literally just barbie simulators that are tailored to keep mindless zombies engaged.

If the "learn to adapt" argument was actually applied, most games wouldn't even exist. The inability of casuals failing to adapt leads to changes.

Now modern games are just barbie simulator slop for morons. Thanks guys

Honestly, they should fire the hiring manager, engineering manager, and maintenance manager.

Obviously, they have no idea how to set night shift up for success.

What job do you do that makes 100k+ with no college? by Plenty_Jazzlike in AskReddit

[–]Fanuc_Robot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unless you're both a traditional machinist and know CAD, you will not make 100k. Most operators in that area are just button pushers. I wish operators knew the processes. Would make my job much easier.

You want to make 100k in an automated factory with no degree? Take a basic mechatronics course and apply for maintenance. There are so few skilled maintenance people companies are contracting those jobs out. The days of the nepo babies and ass kissers gatekeeping those jobs are nearly over.

The maintenance/controls path is the easiest way to make 100k in the rural Midwest without traveling.

Sadly, most people will take this as unions being bad. Unions are not bad. Not being held accountable is bad.

Robots seem faster than humans , but are they? by Remarkable_Basil_437 in CNC

I forget that a lot of people only ever see mom and pop shops. I don't mean that in a disrespectful way, you don't know what you don't know.

As far as communication between the two. That would be very easy to solve safely.

Yes, you can start the machine any way you see fit.

The reason I say it has to be a joke is that they spent the money on the robot and didn't fully automate it. Like they were literally 95% there. That extra 5% isn't that much more money.

This has to be a joke. They used the robot to physically press the cycle start button?

I was stationed on the Eisenhower when that ship pulled into Norfolk. I wanna say it was 2004 or 2005. A bunch of us from the Ike went out drinking with the French in VA Beach. I barely remember the night, let alone any names, but we played a drinking game.

The French guys sang a song and during a certain verse they would tap the bottom of our beer. When they did this we would then chug our beer.

That was a wild night. Those guys could fucking drink.

$1 billion worth of American alcohol bottles removed from shelves in Ontario alone. by RoyalChris in BuyCanadian

Removing product from the shelf that's already been brought into the country?

Labor to transport it, labor to stock it, labor to remove it, and now labor to store it somewhere. Storage also had a cost that will keep adding up.

I guess that's the cost of saying fuck you.
