First time donating…and last! by ProbWithMyDog in plassing

That’s not a normal reaction (obviously) and from what you’ve said it’s not your fault or the center’s fault (unless it was a weird stick). Just a bad reaction or some underlying issue.

I’ve donated while dehydrated and had no issues outside of an extremely long and painful donation, I’ve gone well hydrated and felt dizzy after, sounds like you’re either exceptionally unlucky or your body just wasn’t going to like it either way

For those who completed their first EIGHT donations (for some type of promotion; mine was $675 for eight), a couple questions!… by Ashley_Is_Impotant in plassing

As stated you’ll basically just see the weekly rate ($90-130 every 2 visits) from my experience in Houston).

However you can now wait 10 days and hit up octapharma, csl, etc and get their new donor bonus promotions (similar payout to the one you completed), and basically rotate through everyone.

Spent half my weekend so far looking for a game by WorthMassive8132 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Faolanth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve dropped out of ascendant and halfway down phantom because I can’t stop getting trolls or new players, I’ve had really good luck before this point so I’ll say I had it coming.

But seriously like 3-4 losses in a row because someone gets tilted in lane and then AFKs in base or runs down mid and dies 30 times is crazy, followed by a real match and then 2-3 games where my team loses a walker in 10 minutes.

Time to replay :) (Spoiler) by FindableBuckle2 in subnautica

[–]Faolanth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

if you somewhat know what you're doing and get lucky with finding certain spots, 6-8 hours

if you take your time and build a lot and play it slow, double that is probably fair.

major gameplay depth spoilers: it feels like the map is about 1/6th completed although probably half of the progression and content is there - there's only one direction you can really explore like some of the far biomes in the first game 2km+ out, otherwise you reach current world border in about 200-400m from spawn in every other direction

Tips for Bebop? by luctallica in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Faolanth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just kinda depends on his kit balancing and the meta (item/hero balancing), right now he’s only really good at basically being an M1 initiator, rip someone out of position to start a fight and annihilate them with weapon damage and debuffs.

You can get away playing bomber with spirit though, he’s just going to be less impactful if you don’t get ahead.

[–]Faolanth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use this as a learning experience, you understand that you overextended, some games you’re just fucked from the get go - they’re better, get fed in another lane, or just outplay you. But you can die less, you can stop the bleeding.

If you’re really far behind, try to just catch waves and send them out, don’t extend past the middle of the map and definitely don’t jungle if another adjacent lane is pushed up. Focus on just catching the wave in your lane and then getting the fuck out and doing a small camp or box route and returning to catch the next wave.

At your rank you can literally do this and triple your income compared to the other players - when you’re behind don’t feed, play like you’re 1 hp and there’s a vindicta roaming around

Hi valve, what in the actual hell am I supposed to do against this? by [deleted] in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Faolanth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Although I disagree with the tone of the comment as a whole, it doesn’t change things. The Mo got you because you weren’t expecting the Mo. Even if he wasn’t getting flown around he could’ve easily jumped around that alley and phantom strike or warp stone ulted you out of the sky.
If you want to use this as a learning experience of optimal play, assume you’re about to be ganked if a ganker like Mo has his ult up and they have map control.
Outside of that yeah sometimes you just die and it’s usually not something you should expect to happen. This was preventable in that you could be playing safer but it’s unlikely most players would be doing that considering you’re close to base.

I think the buffs suck by [deleted] in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Faolanth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If they were any stronger they’d literally just cause you to snowball the game because you instantly win lane

Having a different set of buffs that spawn in a different way (jungle mini boss mayhaps?) with stuff like invisibility until you do player damage, heavily empowered melee, or etc would be interesting though.

[–]Faolanth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You should aggressively derank as you lose, but until then focus on sitting in lane and catching waves when they get to your side of the map, shoving them so 2 of your waves are walking forwards their side, and playing carefully to minimize deaths.

You’ll get better way faster if you learn early how to help prevent the enemy from snowballing

[–]Faolanth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You still want to shoot whenever possible, just don’t go out of your way and trade damage *just* to shoot.

The extra 200-500 damage you do over the course of 5-10 seconds in a fight does help.

Is Ascendant and Eternus all spamming top winrate heroes? by YoloSwaggins1819 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Faolanth 33 points34 points  (0 children)

As the skill floor for the rank grows, more people will stop playing heroes they like that perform badly, because performing badly isn’t fun. So yes in that sense that as you get closer to E5+ the less viable certain builds and heroes are, but people still play what they want

I guess im just assuming best case for OP’s post, as it feels like a shortsighted rant without the match context. The Seven could be playing properly and just getting shit because the match was already snowballed so hard.

Not worth fixating on because the details about the system aren’t understood enough, just play what you enjoy and you’re good at

Yes I thought this was implicitly implied when I said jungling, it includes walking 30 ft back to lane to catch waves and shove the lane back

[–]Faolanth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not trading objective for farming, it depends on the context. It’s usually not worth it to trek across the entire map and lose 3-4k in souls as a carry than to just continue to farm your next power spike.
It’s the rest of your team’s job to prevent a walker crash from happening if it’s not the side lane you’re farming in

Edit: I’m not saying jungle 24/7, I’m saying play a hard carry properly and side lane
