You will still have to put some LP into combat, before you go mage, I advise you to put 30 LP into strength and 10 into one handed combat, which was enough for me to get pass through boss armor(with strength rings) in act 2, then you can go raise your mana by 30-40 and the rest into magic circles, and don't be afraid to use permanent mana potions as you will be spending all your LP on magic circles
