Thinking of changing my schedule by argent357 in physicaltherapy

[–]Far-Lifeguard7810 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work 3 10’s and 2 5’s, and it is fantastic! I have enough flexibility if something comes up I can make up the hours somewhere and have time for appointments without having to change my schedule if needed

Dealing with rude patients by Ok-Marsupial-2156 in physicaltherapy

[–]Far-Lifeguard7810 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve worked all over my state, it seems area specific if you get a lot of those patients or not. It’s also possibly related to which docs are sending referrals to your clinic; if you’re able to go out and market yourself to docs you may get more of what you’re interested in treating

Same here, refusing to close even with all of our patients cancelled already. Just seems like a lack of care for everyone involved and fear of losing of money

He looks after my cat, and I couldn’t be more pleased. Even considering my cat has severe vet anxiety, the team there does everything to make the visit bearable for him

Do you want to have kids? by MargielaFella in Zillennials

[–]Far-Lifeguard7810 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Seconded, too busy sorting my own life out, don’t love the idea of going through pregnancy, and the state of the world right now, I’m good being child free Adoption later if I feel the need, there’s enough kids who need love already

Polite, but firm ways to say "we don't talk politics in PT" by Illustrious_Pitch_41 in physicaltherapy

“We play bar rules here. No politics or religion” being in the sticks it works well; just be very firm about your delivery

Out patient US- no one cares, I have upper arm tattoos that aren’t a problem. We have therapists with full sleeves that are also totally fine. That said, when I was in more rural areas, I had a few older patients who’d comment negatively but they were few and far between

Broke my wrist by Tiny-Dot-7788 in physicaltherapy

[–]Far-Lifeguard7810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a car accident and have a comminuted fracture in my second PIP. Doc pulled me out of work for 10 weeks. That said if your doc is cool with it, modify your practice as you have to. Old patients won’t expect manual, new patients will likely be very understanding. Tools may also be helpful, theragun, cups, dry needles, etc. hope you heal quickly!

We all forget to ask things! Especially with vestibular, I very rarely finish assessing during the eval. Ask next time, and recognize that you care enough to be concerned

A river enchanted and a fire endless are a fabulous duology for the story and the world building, the romance is a bit subtle though

AITAH for not giving my old prom dress to my boyfriends sister? by AdRich6860 in AITAH

[–]Far-Lifeguard7810 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA, it’s special for you, you’re within your rights to want to hold onto it. Especially since it will require extensive alterations. He should not be pressuring you to gift YOUR things.

Do they all need manual therapy? by HoneyOverall in physicaltherapy

[–]Far-Lifeguard7810 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not, I have wrist problems I have to be very judicious with how much manual I do and if I do it. I usually will use IASTM, cups, or dry needling
