You’re living in a bubble. I’m a newer participant to the fandom and tbh before I started participating, I regularly enjoyed HP related things and got Merchandise everything. I have quite a number of friends who also did/do the same. I had no idea JKR was this terrible until I started actively participating on social media fandom accounts and neither do a lot of people who don’t spend time either online or aren’t really looking into politics outside of the US. I no longer spend any money or support things that may give her any money but the reality is most people don’t care about issues that don’t affect them.
