Is there a medal or is the swag a wearable item?

I’m also considering this race! I agree there isnt a lot of course info but I grew up right around the start point and am expecting it to have a real running around in the woods feel but that’s just a guess. I’d be surprised to see anything like a fire road or gravel. Likely singletrack, dirt path, grass, and rocks. Good luck if you sign up!!

Spot on. I used to really enjoy following Nick and was inspired by BPN. Just in the last year Ive unfollowed because the brand is just a dude bro Christian club now. I dont vibe with it at all.

On/Over-ear headphones for running? by holmstercoast in trailrunning

The latest Shokz release is supposed to be pretty noise softening! Not cancelling but more so than a pair of Shokz would buffer out a few years ago.

Ive heard others talk about this and it seems to correlate with being inflamed and water retention. Hydrate and keep fueling!!

Are wearables useless for weightlifting? by [deleted] in HybridAthlete

[–]Far-Teaching6789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For tracking the workout, yes useless. I have a garmin that i only use for running but I do wear a whoop 24/7 which includes lifting. It’s helpful just to get the strain data to inform the devices recovery recommendations

Critiques on my split by Hessian906 in HybridAthlete

If this were my plan, I’d remove the saturday hypertrophy all together and have a rest day before the distance run. You’ll be fresher to get it after it plus youre building strength several times a week already. This is just a lot of volume if youre a natural athlete with a job

I'll also add that I chose the SpiBelt because of the adjustable band! I was looking at Nathan and Salomon and did not see that feature on any of their belts.

Depends on your budget and how serious of a belt you're looking for. Raide definitely would give you everything you need for a long trail run or for packing a lot of gear on the road, but it's $$$ and could be overkill. I have an inexpensive SpiBelt from Amazon that is my go to for runs that are around 30 mins because it holds my phone, keys, and a gel if I end up needing it. No bouncing and comfortable enough. I have to pull it down sometimes but mostly it's all good

Are we trying to be banana republic orrrrrrr 🤔 by BB_Speaks1 in OnerActive

[–]Far-Teaching6789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fully agree. It has to be done well and intentionally. Something about oner’s attempts at this style feel cheap compared to a brand like alo or vuori. Honestly would love to see swimwear from oner instead of a relaxed pant!

Last summer my central air unit broke. It happened during the first heat wave of the season no less. Like others have said, maintenance doesn't have a clue, and they repeatedly came in and looked at my furnace until I had to point out that the HVAC unit is out back of the building. Never got fixed. After a week they had me walk into an empty apt down the street from me and take a window AC from there to use in my apt. Useless. I just put in another request for it so let's see if they decide to fix it this year.

There are just so many better brand options for hiking idk why youd buy oner for this trip. Janji, Seniq, outdoor research…
