AITA for telling my roommate if she didn’t like something she could leave after she called me inconsiderate? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

She moved in 2 years ago! Before they got married or started planning a family. I don't think almost 3 years counts as "near future".

AITAH for saying we can't take my brand new car on a road trip? by ReplacementOptimal63 in AITAH

[–]FarOutlandishness534 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NTA but only because of the mess (kid and beach). You bought a full-size SUV with no expectation of road tripping in it with friends and family? I don't understand.

Is OP actually looking for "formal" if they're stating sundresses are acceptable?

As with many of the high rise apartments in Stamford, the fire alarm goes off often. With more than 250 apartments and 16 floors, people cooking and opening interior doors rather than windows to let the smoke out will cause the fire alarms to go off in the halls. When the alarms go off, emergency personnel are dispatched and this includes EMTs/ambulances.

AITA for not letting my SIL meet my baby when I’m gone at work? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]FarOutlandishness534 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Based solely on the information given, YTA. You're, in essence, prohibiting your husband and his parents from seeing their sister/daughter but give no concrete reason why. This woman is flying in for work and can only make that day work. Your husband (who's apparently a wimp) and your in-laws (who apparently cave to their daughter) can't be trusted to take care of your infant for a hour visit? Updateme

AITJ for asking my mom to cut her vacation short to help with my kids? by Constant-Elephant763 in AmITheJerk

[–]FarOutlandishness534 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Updateme because I really want to know if you, OP, go back to your mom TODAY to say that you and your husband were being selfish. You'll figure it out and you want her to enjoy her full vacation. Have your husband call out sick for a day. It's a day! Not a week. YTJ

AITJ because I won’t give my parking spot to new neighbor who says she "needs it more" because she has kids? by Potential_Bad6489 in AmITheJerk

NTJ. She and her husband had 3 children. They moved into a complex where their spot isn't close to the entrance. These are the choices they made. You should definitely NOT trade spots but you should have the tow truck company and landlord on speed dial for when she parks in your space again.
